From my browsing of the interwebs, 333fps has always been treated as a cheat in the quake 3. What sets 333fps apart from 125fps? I know it gives more jump height, but is the difference between 333fps and 125fps much larger than the difference between 85fps(deafult?) and 125fps? Hmm, I can probably just go look that up xD

Ok so using this site: http://www.funender.com/quake/articles/fps.html

I get that
85fps = 44 jump height
125fps = 48 jump height
333fps = 54

so 4 from 85 to 125, and 6 from 125 to 333. doesnt seem too radical when looking at the increment, but when comparing against the standard we have 4 vs 10. Quite a larger difference, I guess. Not really sure what 1 jump height would even look/feel like.
So is the jump height why 333fps is considered cheating?

I read this other thread ( http://www.esreality.com/post/2070957/333-fps/ ) and googled but couldn't find anything 100% solid about the other strange things that 333fps seems to cause. Peeps saying that it can cause floating feeling, connection issues, increase in rate of fire? Sounds too magical.

Please enlighten this newbie xD
