It doesn't matter as long as it doesn't skip while you use it. That being said, laser mice are more apt to skipping.

yeah ive been using one for a bit less than a year now, and just today it started registering like every second click as a double or even a triple click, dno what to do... maybe just order a new one, ideas? :D

Customer service is meh (if they actually send me a replacement Siberia I'll be raving about them), but the products don't break easily. I've had an ikari optical for years and my 7G is still going strong.

That said, their headphone broke for me recently, but hey, that aint a mouse and I go through headphones constantly ;)

with logitech you phone up, give them the serial code, they send you a new product the same day.

with steelseries you make a post, it gets answered in 3 weeks, you get transferred to RMA and you're ignored for a further 2-3 months.

Depends on your sensitivity. If you're a high sens gamer I recommend the g3, but otherwise you have no choice but WMO,IE3, salmosa, etc. (optical).

Is the SS 1.1 still sought after? I have a mint one :) I hate it.

zowie released a 1.1 like the 1.1 SS. 1.1SS dropped in price.

- g5/g500 if you dont know how/want to OC your usb polling rate
- mx518/ms 3.0 if you know how and don't care if you have to OC usb polling rate

If you use a low sens i would suggest the DeathAdder. It's really smooth with no neg accel, even when you're moving the mouse fast. However, most of the pro's use 500 hz opticals. There must be some leet secret to that.

The 7€ WMO just beats them all ^___^ and It's hard to explain, why..

the lift-off distance is perfect, it is really cheap, it is very durable, good button clicks and the design is timeless.

just buy the mouse with the shape u like best, it all comes down to personal preference in the end.

and if u dont buy some crappy old mouse, you shouldnt have to worry about skipping etc

well, long story short, it did go wrong

I have several mice tried ( Copperhead, LAchesis, Diomandback, Wildray, GX9+ ) and play now with a Revoltec and a GX9+.
The G9x is for sure at the moment one of the best Laser mouse, but the price is also pretty tough. So i ordered for my second PC a revoltec and can say, that this mouse has very good price value. It is nearly at the same level as g9, what means I can use the same configs. Internal memory, 3 different settings and DPI-Switch with colored mouse-wheel.

Try it and be happy ;)

Very happy with my mx310 from logitech. So far I've had almost every razer mouse (all shit and odd shapes) to more used mice like the ms 3.0 and wmo.

The last one (WMO) was good, but at lower sensitivity I prefer my logitech mx 310!

just take a look at their shapes and pick one that you think you will be comfortable with, also make sure your selection doesnt have skipping issues or the like.

I personally still use the wmo. Simple shape > * for me.
