For fucking up the graphics for everyone just because your butbuddies noctis and fox like it this way. Not everyone prefers retarded ugly you know? Some like it clear and sharp like quake live had untill you fucked the shit up. And by some I mean 99 procent of all the Quake Live players, who are now trying to figure out why their shit looks fucked up. Great job. Merry christmas. RIP Quake Live.

ye i was like WTF when i connected. gfx are ugly...why the fuck have they messed up my graphics? include a vote option for those settings but dont alter the default.

For me nothing has changed apart from a nicer looks on some maps, especially dm13...

Nothing wrong. Now I know nothing in gfx settings and stuff, I just use vertexlight on 0 it seems... Looks perfect and mostly looks the same as most of the people posting screenshots for various reasons... I suggest you tweak a couple settings up and everything will be fine again ?

I just did r_vertexlight 0 and r_overbrightbits 1and gamma to 1.1 for dm6.. looks different then before, keel is now glowing bright green, its kinda nice. But for t7 i must put gamma higher and overbrightbits to 0 it seems.. different settings for different maps now :)

Complaining about graphics when you all more than likely use picmip 5+, I do find that ironic.

If you liked the "old" vertex shading, just switch to lightmap. It's roughly the same with high picmip.

My own settings, and they seem quite true to what vertexlight was prior to the latest update.

no it looks bad with or without vertex.. thats the point, its why people complain. They cant set it to how it was before. Depending on how people had it before the update there were a lot of people who's graphics changed to something very shit and they cant set it bacl. Some people didnt have a big differemce, or were able to make it look the same.

the only problem with lightmap is teleporters and some places like the ammo area below RA in dm6 are blindingly bright for me.

with lightmap i can't hit a single rail from LG to lower YA on ztn.

what settings are those? i try defaults with picmip 5 and the sides of the teleporter seem to glow more and "overpower" the brightskins when the enemy is at YA, at least in game.

although, my eyes are a little sensitive to bright lights and glows in general.
