For users having issues with comments not showing on posts with more than 72 comments please edit your preferences and change "Comments" to "All on one page" rather than 50/100/200 as they don't seem to be working at the moment.

Sujoy is aware of the problem and the error will be fixed as soon as possible.

sujoy or someone changed the system to be less generous a while ago and it was probably a bad idea. the site was a lot more active at the time, it would make sense that there would be a lot more high rollers

that, and when there are very few new users stumbling in and staying for long, of course all the regulars are gonna have similar % values barring the typical deviation of how many witty one liners you've posted lately

probably, but esr is the only gaming site I visit and I quit irc a while ago cause it stole too much time.
So, I guess I could only write columns and before I do that I'd rather work on my research papers.

Shocker, it reset again. I'm guessing they store it in a cookie or sommet so when you watch porn and clear your cache it gets reset.

Well, I've had no trouble until reading the news post about Q4 that talks about Q4 at EWSC. It says it has 161 comments that are all unread but when I clicked on it, nothing was there. It also says I have 2 replies but when I click to check them, nothing is there.

hm, i didn't investigate but: in threads... if there are a lot of comments, then on certain pages it lists _all_ the comments...

so you have 300 comments, displaying 50 per page:

<< 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6>>

1-5 are fine but 6 displays comment 1-300... and some other weird behaviour. i guessed that's because i have several users on ignore that post a lot.

Maybe it being sticky might be the kick in the ass needed to get it fixed? ;-)

Another (easy) alternative if they cant fix it would be for them to update all users to use the "all on one page" option - I imagine this is just 1 line of SQL, and if announced with a news update at the same time telling you not to switch it back again would probably solve the problem in the short term. Maybe a 5 min job, and everyone working again.
