Why is that? DOTA 2 has the best competitive feature set of ANY game right now, and there are already more tournaments, bigger prizes, and more spectators, than QL. The game is still invite-only beta, and it has incredible momentum.

Sorry for misunderstanding maybe as i didnt want to say that DOTA 2 is a shit game. It is not. My point is that ppl who like/play it over rate it too much and say that other games suck (like in that blog).

For ex. I like quake only and i say that i find other games a bit boring. But i dont say that those games suck or they are going nowhere. And i feel pretty bad then ppl say shit about ql like it is dead. It is not. There are still some ppl playing it, enjoying it and paying for it. If others dont like it, then they shouldnt care to post/tell anything bad about it. Atleast i do like that.

Aren't you essentially saying what you said that you hated about the guy in the blog? I could say that you over-rate QL just the same.

QL is dead, but that does not mean that it doesn't have any players. It means it has no growth, and a small community that isn't sustainable.

I wonder why you visit esreality.com as it is pretty much a home of quake community, when you obviously hate the game? I will tell you that: people who like it wont never change their minds so it is pointless for you to whine about quake. I wouldn't say it's dead; it just doesn't have as huge of a community or following as games like SC2 or DotA 2. The people that honestly enjoy arena-style shooters usually head to Quake Live to get their fix; those that don't either let it be or bash it for what it is.
