Think you need an X amount of posts to be eligible.

You can tell me which user you wanted to PM, I'll throw him a msg that you can't reply and link him to this thread.

So if user x can't send user y a private message, user z steps in and offer user x help to send the pm, by requesting user x to send the pm to user z, even though user x can't send pm's, so user z can send the pm to user y and further instruct user y to visit this thread so user y can reply user x.

Or user x just writes 10 posts and send the pm himself?

yea_hahaha has checked his settings, but can't send an im. yea_hahaha is tying to reply to a message. Also yea_hahaha doesn't see any updates to message boards until one fuill day has passed and isn't sure if there is a setting for this.

After two seconds of investigating yea_hahaha's 3 posts it turns out it's this post he wants to reply, so he can either write 7 more posts and reply with a pm or just create a throwaway mail and suggest further discussions through that. Alternative he can do what he is doing here and ask what needs to be done to post pm's and hopefully a mod can fix it for him.

I'm just making fun of alborz flawed logic, if he wants the messages to be private because of sensitive information as bankaccounts or whatever noone wants a random third part to forward messages in blind trust...
