if finals were played not on stange , results could be realy different. Still cypher was best DH player.

I just don't get it why they play the finals on the stage like at dreamhack. Couldn't they build two smaller rooms on the stage so the players can actually concentrate on their game?

that's actually a good idea.

The whole "stage" thing might look good but hinders players performances.

i think this this is a part of a tournament just like any other competitive 'sports' and players just need to learn how to handle it. they play for the fan and spectators, without them there wont be anymore tournaments.

i kinda agree, but i still think the organizers should make sure that the same hardware is used and the tables are the same etc... its kinda lame to play like 3 days straight on certain monitor and switch just for the most important game

the matches were insanely close..what the fuck are you talking about...ztn: if cypher missed that rail dahang will surely have made a frag quickly afterwards..dm13: dont even start me on that... only t7 was sort of convincingly in favor of cypher.

Dahang clearly played much worse than what he is capable of, and cypher played as well as he usually does.

Dahang should have at least taken dm13. He wrapped it up and gifted it to cypher.

Insanely close was the consolation final strenx vs. k1llsen where both could have taken it and deserved the win.

Compared to that the final was quite one-sides. No map win for Dahang, no overtime, not even a "one frag difference". It always looked close for some periods, but every map (some more than others) there was a point where cypher put it into overdrive and that is where he won.

Yes, Dahang certainly has the potential to take a map or even a match against cypher. But this series cypher was the clear winner.

yea thats what i like about cypher, as soon as it looks it might be getting close / he is facing a possible loss.. he pulls out some crazy bs out of nowhere and makes others look bad...like he pulled out 100 pg accuracy against stermy in one of the matches.

they used the same computers and screens they were using during the dreamhack tournament. in fact, they used the exact computer they were playing on before so they did not even have to change hz settings or w/e before the final.

I've been an outspoken DaHang fanboy since his Quake 4 days.

he's always been one of my favorite players to spec, this final was imo the two best spec friendly players it was pretty damn sweet although the matches were nothing special compared to some of the games i've seen cypher and dahang (against other players) provide

Does the dm13 demo work for anyone else? It won't play for me...says "couldn't open blahblahblah."

it works fine. your problem is that the filename is getting cut off when you use /demo due to the new chat-length limit. try omitting the .dm_73 or use menus.
