Phew what a day.

It all started with a phone call about us releasing the Q4 video we shot yesterday, too early. I was sure we hadnt, but somehow it leeked from our uploaded area or became public, im still not 100% sure how, but it was ok in the end with the people that mattered. I don't blame anyone specifically, I know loads really wanted to see Q4 in action or in fact, just anything Q4 related at all, so it was bound to happen and I should have made better precautions. Luckily its fine now.

As for the day, we have had lots of challenges as ever on the first day of a mahor event it can never be 100% with so many things to ensure are right. Never the less, we casted the first game of the day on time with video, so objective one was achieved, mainly due to the incredible work of a group of guys who worked to get it all done, Trav, Blankz, sigma and wheat in particular. As ever though, everyone seemed to make a valuable contribution in one way or another.

We also covered some of the free for alls, mainly letting it go out un-casted, so people could at least watch the games.

We have some new tricks on the video stream now, which should be obvious to anyone viewing that viewed in Paris for the ESWC, it just looks so much better, but a word of warning, you need to be downloading at 70k to get a crisp clear picture. And dont forget the green pixelated stuff is normal and you should leave it 60 seconds at the start to get going.

In the Q2, we saw Purri for the first time and the guy seems like he is on fire with that rail. Well over 80 kills in his free for all game in 15 minutes... awesome.

I helped out on the cast for ET with Toss, but Id be hopeless at casting it, so I simply played the role of camera man, for our local crowd in the Intel Lounge. Seemed like a good game.

As for the Quake 4 video, it seems to have impressed most who have seen it, but of course there is more to see and I will be working with the guys from Gamecloud to bring you a further, much larger video of someone playing the game that knows how to play Q3 and this will hopefully show you guys just how much like Q3 the new game is, both in terms of speed and air control etc. We didnt get a chance to record this fully today, so we are going to shoot it again in the morning, first thing and get it upped asap. For you guys in Europe that would be about 4-5pm CET Friday.

Right now, im back in my room, its late (11pm) and we havent eaten, so will call out for a pizza and grab a beer. We should be on air from 9am Dallas local time tomorrow. Plenty of pics taken, but i still cant get galleries here working, so maybe Sujoy will be able to fix soon, If not I will try and upload somewhere on Saturday and link to them here.

nn :)
