Really enjoyable match. But ZeRo4's camping at the end just sucks... The lack of good sportsmanship imho.

when u're in a game to win, u play to win, u don't play to give the opponent chances as that could stop u from winning that match. good sportsmanship doesn't mean "not to camp", it means something like, if you're winning a game (by let's say 1-2 frags), and then half way through the server crashes. You're given the choice to restart the match, or just take the win. If you choose to restart the match, then you're a good sportsman. kapish?:)

imho what you discribe is how a top player should act but this doesn't necessarily includes good sportsmanship. Camping a 1or 2 frag lead till the end of a match annoyes me, that behaviour just ..... hmm how can I say it .................sucks ?? ;))

camping's fine - refusing to respawn sucks though - saw plenty of that in 'old time' demos

Compare it to a competitor in the olympics 100m sprint easing off just before the line to give the others a chance and you'll realise how rediculous it would be to not run/camp to secure the win.

It's a perfect comparison imo. Slowing down near the finish line in the 100m race would mean giving your opponents an opportunity to win that they didn't deserve or wouldn't otherwise have had. Refusing to camp or play cautiously would effectively be the same thing; ie, not utilising the most appropriate strategy to ensure victory. Delaying the re-spawn is fine too imo, as it is a legitimate tactic that is still within the rules. Attempting to satisfy some subjective standard of sportsmanship is illogical since the only principles all competitors unarguably have in common are the rules, which are definitive, unequivocal and leave no room for personal interpretation.

Perhaps rather than trying to express some kind of "deep intelligence" such words are merely useful when trying to convey one's thoughts in a precise manner, as opposed to using simpler expressions that provide a vague meaning.

Agreed. Rules is definitely not something that belong to the word "subjective", quite the opposite. So I have to disagree with you, manwithnoname (for the first time), since...

- ZeRo4 doesn't give a flying fuck about our thoughts regarding "how lame" or "boring" his game is, since what he is doing is nothing else but allowed.

- This game is a quarterfinal in the WCG, meaning that you'll end up in two ways: one, you lose and can go home and slap your cat in anger. two, you win and furthermore have a chance to receive 20.000$.

Now, I'd, like ZeRo4, go for the money no matter what some people might think or/and say.
