How come solo&zulg play compressed/ironic when all the other games so far have been compressed/antalus?

It was a second or third round game that was moved to the start. Perhaps because they are only three in the group, or perhaps because they wanted a top game to show on the stream.

It is a huge shame only UT has so gay coverage, CS and Q3 coverage improved a lot after bit problematic start but there are no UTV or at least scorebot from UT. :( If anybody who can go there, kick UT amins ass to set up at least scorebots reads this, please do it.

There is a demo of evenflow player horac on both antalus and compressed but the link i broken... Cra* or maybe to many people dl at the time... also all of Blaamo demos.. alongside lauke's demos (that really Cra* been looking forward to se him kick some ass)... last but not least livid demos are out to and yes dosen't work...

update seems like just to many people are dl at the time... managed to dl lauke game vs astz on antalus...

i got hold of a handful of demos, of which most were recorded at a ridiculous 25 fps. Unwatchable. If anyone can get in contact to someone at the event PLEASE tell the players to adjust the demotickrate to 50 or 60.

Yeah.. but you can't help feeling sorry for dnx3... he doesn't happen to have a handy clanmate around to give him a map for free. In a lot of "real" sports deliberately throwing a game is a serious offence. Although I don't know for sure that's what happened, but lots of people seem to think it did.

Hard to prove though. It's not like frag^m is a crap player. He is very skilled so it is not impossible he would take a map from GitzZz.

Sure.. and if there's no rule against it, then he's free to do it if he wants to. It would just be interesting to know what happened.

Let's face it: GitzZz (probably) helping frag^m to advance, Russian Quakers trying to screw the Swedes (and vice-versa?) and probably more... it's all happening there.

So a slight change of rules so that another French player can advance... wouldn't surprise me a bit. I do feel sorry for Zeta, but then again I feel sorry for every player who's on the receiving end of such treatment.

I don't know if they changed the rules or if they always been that way. But what did happen was that four quarter finals were up ESWC site and one hour later three of them look different (with two new players making it to the quarterfinal).

Since the rules haven't been posted until now I don't know how they looked at the start. I just find the system odd. I never seen a tournament that separates players this way.

The best way to have handled a situation like the one with zeta/thor and frag^m/dnx3 would have been if the admins had said "ok guys. You both ended up on the same points, and you drew your match against each other. Let's decide this through a playoff match" instead of counting frags in the match between the players or overall netfrags.

So I don't know if the rules were changed or not. Probably not. But the rules are strange and unusual if you ask me. What I reacted to is that you have 4 quarterfinals shown at the "upcoming matches" thingy on the official site and one hour later three of them look different (and two new player made it into the playoffs). Most likely the original quarterfinals were generated automatically in the cyberleagues.org system and ended up not being in sync with the rules that were used.

I checked the rules part during day 1-3 and they weren't posted. Now they are posted on the site. So I can't compare before or after for the simple reason that I never got the chance to read the rules before.

I was one of the 3 admins Ut2k3 with Pixel and Louise, and I would like to thanks them for the job they done.

I can explain about the rules. That's right they weren't uploaded on the webby so you didn't seen them, but as we said to the players since the beginning of the tourney, and we asked for the confirmation by a ligarena staff, in the case of a point equality, the frag difference between the two players will set the position in the group.
We applied the same rules as we always done for the others tournaments.

And about the play-offs games, our system don't work with this rule, so we had to enter the results and to modify the positions in the 2nd group stage to have the real bracket.

I'm really tired and I don't know if i was really clear.

Thanks to all the players, this lan wouldn't have been so nice without them.
