totally off topic but what would be cool about destructible environment is that certain walls would break in ca, and at the end of each round they would regenerate. this would allow the players to gain a new angle or to build a new route to run away... depending of the map architecture

I think it will be way to difficult to choose which ones are true legends.

How do you compare Thresh to rapha? And also isn't zero4 supposed to be on the list? What about fatal1ty? What about Toxjq? he dominated one quake game more then anybody have done with another quake.

This would just either become a list of 30 people or just 2 persons that 70% of the community think is wrong.

Just look at the map pool bitching that always leads to a bitching competition. Even if would be able to vote for the map pool for DHW people would complain that their map isn't in. And then there are 10-15 map for a 5-7 map mappool.

So i'm just imagining the complaints that will occur if you have 30-40 qukae players to vote for and only 4 spots.

So for ID software to do such a thing would just lead to complaints but here on esr we could make a poll and see.

Map pools aren't a democratic decision. A hall of fame should be, for the most part.

In any case, what this community can do is a list of selectable players. There about 100 notorious quake players right.

EDIT: Tox was actually a really good Q3 TDM player and won some tournaments and he have also won atleast one QL TDM tournament.
