I cry in agony over Pillbox not being in the CTF pool given that it was handed down to me directly from the vadrigar gods, but beyond that the pools look outstanding and I look forward to watching this week's action!

Why isn't silence in the map pool? It's a far better competitive map than either fuse or delirium.

Because democracy. Also, apparently aerowalk is kicking out Fuse now. Voting is a bad idea when you want new maps. It's just gonna be all old maps :)

fuse might be a lesser map but delirium has plenty of potential

Here are my problems with Delirium:

(1) There are only three 25hp bubbles, two of which are in RA room. The other is next to the RL above YA/tele. There is one 50hp bubble, in the middle of the map perched precariously on a ledge.

(2) It's way too easy to control, especially on the upper level with rl/lg/rg. Easy shots across most of the map, and with no hp available and only a RL it's almost impossible for the out-of-control player.

I think, layout-wise, it's a really interesting map. However, I don't think the current weapon and item placement is balanced in the slightest.

witb some tweaks i do believe it will be quite good. i never said it was amazing, just that it had potential. while the items layout definitely needs work (as does mobility from the bottom level) it is one of the better duel maps to be released into QL.

Purgatory the best TDM Map (tough one) and
Japanese Castles the best CTF Map. FrankerZ

Taking a page out of SC2, I'd like to see something like an invitational team league event. Maybe just a 1 off for fun or whatever. I know you guys run a lot of stuff but hear me out.

Team leagues are teams of 3 (BO5) or 4 (BO7) that face of each other in 1v1.

Both teams choose a starter and each team member has 1 life. First map chosen at random, loser leaves the game and the losing team decides on their next player to send out, who also chooses the next map. Already used maps are excluded from the remaining available maps.

If you have teams of 4, you could have a TDM game to start and the loser has to pick a starter first, then the winner gets to pick a starter and the first map. OMG TDM!

This goes on until a team runs out of players. This is a really fun format they sometimes run in SC2, and has quite an element of strategy in who to send out at what times.

Do you want cypher first to take out as many as he can, or do you want him last to save your team, or somewhere in the middle? Can you send out a T7 expert against the currently winning player who isn't as good on the map? Fun stuff!
