I like it the most. And theres a more obvious reason for this. Its a sci-fi movie in the future. with todays technology you really get the 'future' feel of things. watching ST movies from 30 yrs ago just doesn't cut it for me, even tho you could say the characters and plot are pretty good tho.

For example i would love to see a movie adaptation of Thrawn Trilogy book series

I saw the first trilogy as a kid and would have sprayed everywhere if i had cum at that age lol.

The second trilogy has great scenes and good history, the corruption of a democratic system by fear, which ends being absolutely worse (9-11 anyone?), my main issue is that some scenes have really weak acting.

the origional star wars movies were just awesome (ep 4-6).
But from then they completely lost the SW fibe. Ep1 was all "happy dancing jarjar with a rainbow in the background and sometimes a my fair pony would walk around the scene" god that was crap.
And then they managed to f*ck that up even more with the revenge of the clowns... and going for the supremacy of sucking with the clown wars.

I do hope that disney will return the dark fibe of the dark side and leaves out Toy Story....

can't help myself ... but these things are just not anymore so en vogue ... star wars, star trek are somehow a thing of the past ...
they are still a brand factor though ... but it's just nothing really special anymore, they don't stand out so much ...
not saying though you couldn't do a good film with it ...

man, I once read the book dune from frank herbert, I think this film could need a modern version, I know there is a film from the 70s from lynch which is not bad ... but you could really transport that film to a new level with the technologies at disposal, of course foremost written by with a deep screenplay ... but I am not sure if you can still do films like this nowadays ... I have somehow a feeling that the masses dumbed down ... you see it in the disney films, you even see it in the simpson series, they exchange deeper things by short sighted emotionally stuff, making jokes all the time that have no real meaning and all the figures laughing around ... but there is a reason they're doing, it's what the people want it seems

well, tbh, the stories after ep 6 are pretty fucking good. Let's hope disney doesn't rape them terribly.
