its true the playerbase of wsw is smaller than QL's, but i never had any problems with finding a duel game on certain map, unlike in QL where playing a dm13 is impossible without 20 minutes of waiting

it's fiddled with lots of small and big issues in every aspect of the game, and when you ask the devs to fix them they literally curse you. It'll never be nowhere decent.

So I prefer warsow dying (like it was before 1.0) and lets focus on an alive and much, much better game instead.

I gotta agree. I've been trying it out a bit the past few days and its really scarce with duel players on the serverlist.

But if you join one of the warsow-esports.net duel servers you get someone in very fast.

tell me how is it possible i dont have any problems with finding a duel game during whole day, and you do have such difficulties?

If you look carefully most of the players can be found on Duel, DA and FFA servers not CA or insta (CA only 8 and insta 13 players).

guess quakecon, dh summer, dh winter, ugc, adroits and the lan from last month aren't major or better than the said event, in which btw warsow wasn't an official game (check the website) but something hosted by the game's devs.

Also lets not consider the millions of dollars earned by players by playing quake3 and quake live. Nah that doesn't count.

qcon2012 had 32 players in the masters tournament, 83 in the open championship (39 rejected probably because of not being good enough) and 13 4-man teams, for a total of 167 players.

Also that doesn't count all the tournaments organized by CSN on site (not "officials"), and the fact tournaments were announced less than 3 weeks before the event. Under those conditions more than 200 competitors on a LAN is not bad if you ask me.

The warsow lan you mentioned had 12 players (who knows how many of those were actual warsow players)+ 4 devs participating. I think 200+>12.

TBH, I think saying wsw has more activity than QL is false. I think QL population is clearly bigger.

That being said:

1 - Don't feed the troll.

2 - wsw may have few players, but QL situation isn't much better. Urban Terror, a fcking Q3 mod, has more players than QL. At this point in the life of fast fps it's ridiculous to care about the size of their comunities.

the weapon usage stats are broken, and based on shots fired. ofc an lg 'shoots' much more.

what this really shows is u use the RL shitloads compared to everything else, considering for example that everytime u shoot an RG, its counting as 20+ shots. so in reality, you use the rl 20x more than the shotgun.

Finish weapon also stunns people so they can't walljump around and dodge your shots.

if anything these stats show how much the rocketlauncher gets used.

I asking, because 1.0 has toned down the whole comic-style appearance of the game tremendously . Sometimes, even way too much for my liking. For example WDM5 and WDM6 - I liked how they looked in 0.42... :(

wdm5 looks like that since 0.5 and it's better that way. It was the only real tron-style map in the official maplist and also Warsow is supposed to be "Cyber-Punk" not Tron. The new wdm5 really looks like a slum-area of a big City in the future or somewhere at that time.

Nobody protects wsw and ql here, we just try to troll megaman here until he will fully embrace warsow and will uninstall his QuakeLive client.

lets put it this way: the client crashed 3 times while configuring and after 30mins (with plenty of q2 and q3 experience) the result was subpar anyway.

The game feels more amateur made than ever. The first experience will give this game a 1/10 if it was reviewed by ign or gamespot.
Without being picky, the game starts at a news section for no reason, then I loaded the first map immediately and it's the one on the intro, which is 20% finished (black sections and all). Then went to the menu and saw strong ammo references, awful huds and crosshairs, very few options available, forcing models and skins is still counter intuitive, game crashes when changing inputs (which also resets everything you did before because of no automatic writeconfig), etc.


And plasma is op as fuck lol. How come they can't nail game balance after 7 years.
