I'm looking for something to switch _from_ Diamondback 3G (as both my Diamondbacks have the same issue - completely unusable scroll wheel).
Have considered the Steelseries Kana, but it has 1 thumb + 1 pinky, while I use the 2 thumb buttons. I already know pinky buttons are impossible to use in combat, so that leaves me only one thumb button - not enough.
I've bought a Roccat Kova which sounded like the perfect mouse... until it arrived. That thing has a really HARD buttons, absolute mindfuck if you come from a Razer, it will make your brain and your whole arm hurt ;) Half of ESR will tell you "at least you don't press right click by mistake", but they have no clue about playing on high sensitivity and still hitting 40% LG. I gave the Kova to my mom. Very good other than the switches, sensor is great (unless you're anal about having even the slightest prediction), setting without drivers even better. Too bad I can't shoot with it.
Nice price... I can get 2 Diamondbacks for that, and OP says those are expensive... Plus there are 10 different versions of each Zowie mouse, each bad for one reason or another. Zowie experiments with idiotic rubber sides etc. I wouldn't know how to get a good one, if it even exists.
Yeah I guess. I just prefer a solid dpi setting because I prefer same sense in both windows and the game so I always runs the game at 50% or the default setting so I have the same sense everywhere, including windows.
The only option I guess right now is a Diamondback from eBay or a EC2 eVo. The only ones that fit my description and only ones that seem good.
EDIT: Nevermind EC2 is the same as AM dpi-wise. I guess it's the Diamondback. Anyone know any major differences between the old and the 3g version except the dpi?
It's importan to note that the Zowie AM is not really 450 dpi etc. In reality it's somewhere between 475 and 485 dpi which is really irritating when you first get it because you have to configure your sens by feel rather than mathematically.
