I don't think it matters whether the QL community likes this map or not. If adding CPM maps to QL was this easy it would have been done before already. Besides, the lack of tele and double jumps could potentially spoil the gameplay of this map. That doesn't mean this map would be unsuitable for PQL though, infact if the copyright issue could be resolved, why not add all the legendary CPM duel maps to QL?

Well no, he said telejumps separately. Also w/o aircontrol those telejumps are useless.

For double jumps i was referring to the stairs on the lower part of the map, but yes after checking the map again the steps of the stairs are too high to doublejump them. And for the telejump i was referring to the top tele (you can jump from there to the left YA) but you need air control for that. Since PQL wouldn't allow the jump after you exit the tele to the left side (telejump) you would have to make a jump in between to reach it... still better then to walk completely around it though, as would be the case in VQ3/QL.

u don't really need aircontrol, telejumps are a version of doublejumps, to be exact, 1a's tele2upperYA is a doublejump where the 2nd jump is a left circlejump

Yup. QuakeLive doesn't really concern me anyways, i just like to watch streams such as Zotac and big tournaments. Still having fun playing CPM and secretly laughing at QuakeLive because it's full of cheaters and what not :p

Well as far as i remember it was used once in some CPMA/VQ3 tourney around 2006 and was removed after that, probably for a reason. I personally never really liked it, even In cpm gameplay where it's probably still one of the 5 most popular duel maps.
Might be fun in PQL, but I highly doubt it's going to make it's way into QL anytime soon, considering it's popularity. Honestly, I'd rather see pukka3tourney5/pukka3tourney1/ne_duel/megadm4_09, and probably even ospdm8 lol (might actually be a good map with some re-scaling) over cpm1a.
I doubt that anymore Q3 maps (with the possible exception of cpm3a) will ever be added to QL, considering they can't even bother to add the maps they already have their hands on...

Believe it or not, at one cpl tournament (Pacific), this map was used! Guys like python, fatality & polosatiy were pretty good on it. But I don't think a lot of players chose that map in the tournament.

I always liked playing the map in q3, but I think it's too small for tournaments. And again, it's a fast-paced map, we already have 3 of them in most mappools.

cpm1a is nice, but I'd personally like to see new, fresh duel maps or relatively recent / unheard of Q3 maps, like Windsong Keep, etc.
