E-Sports press collaborates ALL e-sports sites with news, and lists them by date, and by user rating. You can upvote an article, there is a section on their site for 'new' and 'top'. Basically, instead of going to ESR, SK-Gaming, and TL, you can just go here and see them all. You can add or remove websites based on url, and language.

It's been around for a bit and it's a really nice site :)

dunno about nokia blitzing .de but here it hasnt dominated since the 3310-3330 ranges. sony ericson gained huge ground since they released the w810i and all the clones with tweaks thereafter

The first supported os should have been android, then symbian, then ipone, and lastly blackberry and palm.

You can't really develop for symbian.

and what I also didn't mention when talking with nukm, iphone's marketplace is unlike anything else.

Several reasons, the main one being that nobody makes a dime out of eSportsPress (you see no ads on the site, no ads in the app, the app is free) - it's more like a hobby project to learn and develop new skills rather than a business. And developing for iOS is probably the best experience out there.

Android suffers from fragmentation (bunch of 1.x users that cant upgrade to 2.x because of their hardware / carriers) and not really that popular android market (app store).
Symbian, well.. It suffers from fragmentation, no centralised store (it's out there, but I haven't actually seen anyone using it or didn't test myself) therefore much harder publishing of apps. From what I know Symbian's API's aren't too flexible either. All in all, development for Symbian is pretty expensive.
Palm is pretty much dead.
Blackberry I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that if there were some stats available counting number of downloads of apps by number of active phones, the iPhone would be on top and then long long nothing and Android.

App Store is probably the single most important reason why it's worth to have an iPhone.

There are millions upon millions of Android users out there running 2.1 or 2.2, you don't need to develop an app for 1.x users, they will eventually upgrade to a newer phone that supports 2.1/2.2. If I recall the only phones that don't support 2.x are 1st generation Android phones or very very low end ones.

It's estimated that Android users are over 75 million now, so it would make a lot of sense to develop the app for it as well. If this is just a passion project to learn more about iOS development then I guess I can see why he won't.

You are going to left behind as 2.x versions make up a significant percentage of the Android market and it will soon be the biggest mobile OS.
