Yeah, it's only alive in bomb mode really, 1v1 and tdm are played less than in cpm...
But i hope it would grow, it has lots of potential especially in 1v1. (i wonder what gameplay changes are in 0.55)

Also it starts to look game you can take seriously... good job.

Aslong as the ability to bash walljump and avoid 100% damage is reduced, i would agree with you. I think the graphical style and concept of strong/weak ammo is a good balance.

I really enjoyed playing one of the earlier versions of the game and would most certainly come back and play TDM again (for fun!) on release.

imo the strong/weak ammo alone breaks it. not a good concept when overdone (eg. qw shotty = fine)...

weak & strong ammo concept is fine. It's even more than fine. It's definitely a good concept. Ammos boxes are finally VERY important, they are not gimmicks anymore. It adds some more "strategical" elements to the game and increase the playstyles diversity. For example in duel it's not only about who will control the mh and ra better, there are more elements that you have to take into consideration.
And since v0.5, the main difference between weak & strong ammos are the dmgs/knockback/splashradius etc... So as you can see, for example, you aim exactly the same way with strong and weak EB (electrobolt aka rail), pretty much the same for the rl, plasma etc... The weapons are still fun to use even with weak ammos, they don't feel weird anymore (if you compare to earlier versions).

but the main problem for me with warsow is the way the weapons balance and movements have been tweaked these last years. It just feels too "amateur-ish" for me, doesn't feel 100% solid, too much gimmicks tweaks here and there, too much newbie-friendly tweaks here and there. The weapon balance isn't satisfying enough and the movements have been basically slowed down at each new version (from v0.3), if not dumbed down... If you know how solid and "pro" cpm is, you're forced to think that there is something "wrong" with wsw gameplay, but if you're coming from vq3 or unreal or even realistics games like cs or cod, you probably won't notice anything wrong, actually it's even the opposite.

so, warsow is definitely a fun AND fast-paced game (yep, it's still fast, thks God ^^), but to me personally it still lacks something important : 100% solid competitive gameplay (don't get me wrong, it's still way more fun than vq3, for example). Anyways, i still think that people should still try the new version when it comes out, because if you never tried wsw before and you like face-paced quake-like games, you'll probaly like it a lot...

I trully believe TDM is a lost cause for a moderm game (unless it's changed and is not TDM anymore). TDM is only played by oldschooll guys and it's very difficult to make a newb play it, since TDM is only really enjoyable at high level of play, and even oldschoollers will prefer bomb for their everyday playing.

I hope the competition at duel improves, tho. Duel will never get old.

EDIT: Oh, on your "question". There aren't barely any gameplay changes compared to the current version at the servers. It's very continuistic gameplay-wise.
