if you hold the cup on 2 days, you might aswell use a more interesting system.

directly "invite" 8 (or16) players to the second day and let them compete against the top 8 (or 16) from day one. this way the pros dont have to waste their time on opponent that are not anywhere near their skill level and the mid skilled players can have a lot more fun on actually compete on day 1 instead of getting raped.
so imho it would be a better solution for everyone.

oh, and use a check-in system next time, with so many players not playing, the bracket can get unfair/fucked up really fast

Closing registration 3hrs before cup start sucks. Many players appear only in final minutes before the start only to find they can't sign up.

its closed hour before cup starts, and I agree check-in system would be better for everyone... we will possibly change it in the future. Prolly will change whole concept of 2-day cups , since its not benefit for anyone it seems...

And if idsoftware fixes DE locations finally, then you can also impose "on OUR privs only" so at least you can keep track of the players and as a benefit side effect allow streamers to navigate between games more easily.

yep, syncerror said that its GSP problem and they should fix it very soon, so we hope for the best in the meantime ;)

yep. if quakelive doesnt work for you because of this, heres a fix:

open your hosts (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc) with the editor, enter

Looks like they didn't lower the dns ttl values before migrating their domains. Still at >8000 secs here (and counting down)
