It wasn't so long ago that it was pretty easy to get a ctf or tdm pickup going (even easier for duels), a few weeks before ESWC qualifiers if I recall correctly. Is it really the fact that qlive beta invites have been released en masse or is it simply that Q3 has run it's course on this continent? It doesn't seem any less popular in Europe these days. Why aren't more of the disgruntled moving back to their roots and saying thanks, but no thanks to Id for their free down-grade? I'm even to the point were I'm seriously considering playing CPM as there always seems to be activity on promode specific servers (no offense to CPM'ers). I've also pondered dipping into my own pocket to fund a handful of servers in various regions throughout the US but I really need to do some research before doing that. Would a greater selection of servers be an influence in people moving back to Q3?
I know it's just a video game and still may be way too early to tell but if as many people aren't enjoying qlive as I think they are then, again, why are you still playing it? Because everyone else is? I seriously hope that's not the case.
Anyway, back to reality....
