this tourny is on there?

if it isnt ... i suggest you make your own news post about ESL thing and advertise your stream on there instead of pimping on someone elses thread

I don't get what's wrong with telling someone who wants to see a video stream of C&C3 where he can get one? I never said this specific tournament was on there.

Wow is that game really that good? I mean, I played A LOT C&C 1 and Red Alert 1 (even several years), but then all further games from that series sucked to me. I didn't like Tiberium Sun as well as Red Alert 2, Generals and others...

C&C3 didn't impress me at all on all viedos i've already seen.

Is the gameplay that good to pick up that game for WCG or it only looks good? Because in terms of gameplay (duels) I think that any game isn't even close to StarCraft at all. People still have no idea how big SC scene really is, even after 9 years.

seems more similar to tiberian sun than games like yr and tiberian dawn. but overall the game is more or less a hybrid of tiberian sun and yr but with tracked units. although the scrin is pretty random and seems thrown in late in development

dunno I played the demo and tbh I thought it was pretty much the same as red alert, just with more fancy effects and a few more vehicles (no ships though in the demo are there any in the real game? I liked that in red alert ;)), gameplay wise it was pretty much the same imo.

By

Venim - Reply to #20

theres ships but only in the campaign

gameplay is pretty different from ra from what i've played so far

By

wviperw - Reply to #8

Try the demo.

I'm in the same boat as you... I was into the original C&C and the original Red Alert big time, but never got into the following games. From what I've play of the demo, C&C3 is pretty aweomse and from what I've seen of the developers, they actually *care* about the comptetitive community which is VERY rare these days.

I watched the finals replays. GDI is boring on big map because mammoths are so slow and they knock down air like muskitos...

surprised to see two nod in top3, from what i heard, they were fairly shit, late game at least, unless, they won by rushing everyone...

By

HenL - Reply to #28

Impossible to talk about balance this early(unless the game is 100% broken).

By

thelawenforcer - Reply to #31

their late game units are weaker, and more expensive than late game gdi for instance

By

tewic - Reply to #32

I got the feeling that the nod scrop rush can be much more effective than gdi pred rush, IF the guy doing it got ownage micro, and can handle all the units.

Late game you might be right.

By

Venim - Reply to #34

seems like predators are a bit stronger than scorpions but it all comes down to who gets their energy weapon upgrades for them first

By

tewic - Reply to #35

True, but you waste more "damage" killing many but weak units, rather than few but big ones.. if they have 1hp left, you basiclly "waste" 399damage (if we imagine a shot from a pred does 400dmg)

but, of course, from preds you have more firepower pr m^2

so I don't know what to think about it.

runs on pretty much any average gaming pc within the last 3 or 4 years (8800gts runs ultra quality perfectly ;)

yup, great game with very low specs :) My brother plays on Athlon 2600+, 1GB DDR and Radeon 9700 with broken cooling, no problems in 1024.

But there is strange issue. Of course I know about problems with disconnects in MP but there's something strange...

My PC:
Intel C2D E4300 @ 3.00 GHz
MSI 7900 GTO @ 7900GTX (700/1700)
2X1GB OCZ Platinium 800MHz

I can play SP even in 1600x1200 with the highest settings but multiplayer very often is unplayable in 1024 :( on small 1v1 maps... dunno why. Maybe it's about connection (i got 6148/ 128 kbps) but I don't think so... Like I said, i hope they will fix it in next patch :)
