Well well, the fact that the world temprature is directly linked to the amout of carbon dioxide in the air tells me that you're wrong.
It's really not hard to figure out, take a look at a chart of the carbon dioxide levels (mesured in the glaciers) and then compare it to a chart of the temprature, they're almost identical.

rofl are you serious? you do realise that millions of years ago there was something like 20% carbon dioxide and 60ish% oxygen. now our atmosphere consists of 21% oxygen and 70% carbon dioxide, the rest of the atmosphere is made up of noble gases such as nitrogen, water vapour etc. so if the amount of co2 in the atmosphere millions of years ago means we would have had a climate similar to that of mercury or venus...

go do an env degree, then we can have a lovely discussion and debate about the whole global carbon balance and what affects it has. i will end this debate by stating my opinion which is that yes global warming is taking place and yes the use of fossil fuels is leading to a FASTER rate by which our temperature is rising. for example during an interglacial the temperature rises to a specific point and then declines whereby we have an ice age. but my point is we are increasing the rate at which we are getting to that optimum temperature, through the use of fossil fuels etc.

i don't think you realise that it is a natural phenonemem to have a temperature increase towards the end of an interglacial. the last interglacial lasted 13 years ago, it's called the ipswichian interglacial and took place from 131k - 118k years ago. (remembered from my degree, dates could be out by a few years). If you look at the charts from the past few years of that interglacial you will see a steady temperature inrease.... NATURAL!!!!!

So when you say the amount of co2 in the atmosphere affects temperature then yes it does to an extent but it isn't the cause for a large temperature rise, it's simply increasing the rate at which it is taking place.

My Review of the WSVG Stream. I posted this in another thread, but it was intended for here and I'm just a dumb ass. [+] just because I admit it.

VIDEO: The last 3 stops the WSVG Stream actually worked quite well for me. I'm in the United States and only a few times did I have to actually refresh the stream to give it a little jump start. However, the video has this ridiculous interference or on-screen technical glitch that makes it look terrible. You are constantly seeing video anomalies which distract from the overall viewing experience. I was convinced that someone would be fixing it or perhaps it was some sort of issue at that particular location. So when I started up the stream hoping to see 519 play WoW (even though I have no fucking idea what's going on and I played that game for 4 months), I was shocked to see the video anomalies were still present. Even more crazy is the fact that CBS has a hand in production. Certainly some producer would look at that and get it fixed.

GRADE:
8.5/10 for Connection: Pretty solid, and in a nice big player.
4/10 for Video Quality: Although it has a high bitrate, the picture quality was terrible and the overlays (lower thirds) were lacking or of low quality.

SOUND: The sound is also very suspect and often times hisses and pops. I guess I take for granted that when I started all this we only had shoutcast servers, and your #1 goal was to make it sound as professional and "RADIO" as possible. Even when we moved to video we still maintained the same respect and dedication to our sound setup... that is NOT the case here. This sound is really terrible, and it really sucks that many companies can't appreciate the importance of sound. In some cases the host's mic was too loud and in other cases I couldn't hear anyone at all.

GRADE:
2/10 for Sound: Seriously guys, I hear better stuff on a 12-year old's shoutcast station playing 90's electro at 48khz.

TALENT: Who is this guy that sits on the far left? I think he should be completely exiled from entertainment. This guy will interrupt discussion about gaming to talk about something completely unrelated. I'm NOT impressed with the talent and the way they've been used at WSVG. I believe Cory Dunn is a respectable caster, but when you're dragged down by bad talent, it sometimes doesn't matter how good you are. It's almost like it's not being taken seriously, when I see 3 guys banter mindlessly into microphones telling funny stories of how some random guy invited them to the guild and he accepted. I'm obviously going to be hard in this category, but there's just something not right with this stuff. Oh and the American Idol "judges" rip-off. Absolutely the worst fucking idea I've seen ever (this coming from the guy who got drunk on air and sang the alf song).

its easy to lose weight, run 3 times a week for 4 weeks, then up it to 5, then to 6 with a days rest. The run should last for 20 to 30 minutes, and must be at a pace were you arent out of breathe running anerobic, as you need the most oxygen instake to help the process of breaking down fat for energy, eg its more effective if u arent out of breath cos the fats getting broken down better then if u went for a full blown sprint.

Then cut ur intake down on food and try to avoid carbs after 6pm, usually have cereal in the morning thats high in carbs str8 after ur run, run immediately when you wake up as this is when the adrenalin spike has most effect on the body working and just drink some water b4 u run to stop dehydration, dont eat b4 u go so there is no food in ur stomach for the body to burn therefore it goes for ur fat reserves. Foods good to eat, salads, chicken and other light meats, tuna, egg avoid mayonaise tho as its fatty, etc, u dont even need to be too strict on ur diet to lose the weight, just generally stick to the rules.

Feels pretty unprofessional that the commentator of the finals was so clearly cheering for Cypher. During the game he was mainly talking about how good Cypher was playing and him doing everything right and after the game when Toxic won the WSVG he was telling us how awesome Cypher is instead of actually giving Toxic some well deserved credit.

He clearly has some sort of inferiority/confidence/"high" stress related problem when it comes to 1vs1.

You never notice it in TDM because the pressure is off to a large degree, however you can sort of see it in his playstyle and he always stumbles in the big games. To think that fox hasn't got the aim nor the strats and smarts to beat some of the people who he seems to always end up losing to (toxic, cooller for example) would seem silly to me as he clearly has the ability.

These events seem to be a big of a lottery as of late.
Some players seem to be getting a much easier run than others.

The good players can beat the frag bait in the first round, then it's straight into a hot pan of oil in round 2.

If you can get into the 3rd round in the upper bracket you can almost be assured that better players than you are having to slum it out in the losers bracket, not though being inferior players to those that might have progressed, but for just having to play a top player.

I wish there was a better system. A more fairer system, perhaps like the classic ESWC where everyone in the group has to play everyone or something so peeps progress using skill.
