This is not vq3. This is CPMA in OSP-lookalike mode (CPMA "VQ3"). Why not say it's CPMA VQ3 and tell the world that you like OSP physics better?

I bet admins have made sure nobody can post anything but CPMA demos for q3 here :/

I was referring to the demos list.

It used to be that a CPMA VQ3 demo was listed as such, and not CPMA, which might let down people looking for true CPMA demos. It also used to be that an OSP demo would be listed as an OSP demo, and not under "N/A" in the demos list. :/

Historyless befuddled minds also seem to have problems with the term VQ3. Vanilla Quake 3 is of course a Quake 3 without any mods at all, while "CPMA VQ3" is closer to OSP than Vanilla Q3. So why use the term?

Don't think I'm biased either, I hate pm1 in OSP as much as "CPMA VQ3" ;)

vq3 describes the gameplay/movement, not the mod. :)

i think that was established as a counter part to cq3 (which was cpm? or was it just the same cq3 as today, dunno :)) to discribe the gameplay.

most people, atleast on this site refer to the CPMA mod's default gameplay as CPM and q3's default gameplay as VQ3. it's been that way for quite a while now.
