I still like song #1.. I don't like singing :\

Singing in general. I just find it silly. Probably because 99.9% of everything that is sung is jibberish in my eyes. Can't say anything about was said in your song tho, as i can't understand it. But i don't like it by deafult :/

Yeah it's purely the octaves that should be important. Songs are butchered lyrically for the sake of rhyme.

No it isn't invalid. It's a necessary compromise. I like music to speak for itself but even then there's limitation in terms of pattern and sometimes timing (I've heard classical music that changed speed through it's course).

There's limitations to all forms of music unless you want to create something most people aren't going to be able to follow.

Yeah good post. Probably not one of the deepest songs ever but a lyrically interesting one all the same: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody. Apparently it was wrote within a single night (although you might say at first glance it looks like too).

Exactly. It's the sheer intensity of his words. To be so honest in such an open way is one of the more surprising aspects. Talent might be important to singing (although not in all cases... Oasis) but life experience (and a unique perspective) is what give songs colour. All the pressure that is placed upon artists of this status is probably why some of their words have such impact. You've got people who have no escape other than music which is a deeply personal relationship in some cases. Yet we get to hear it all.

The melody is okay. Percussion is a bit... I don't know actually. That isn't supposed to be a standard breakbeat is it? I was having trouble staying with the rhythm. What program are you using to make this?

Really? I guess that snare was your voice...?
