You mean Pro|Click 1.6? If yes, it's true, because even if it has the old Diamondback's sensor, the firmware was different, which made it not that good for gaming.
I had a Diamondback and a Diamondback 3G as well - which latter I still have on the shelf. Both are really good mice if you feel comfortable with the shape, though I like the first generation a bit more.
And I do have pro|click too I actually still use it and dont notice anything strange comparing to my salmander edition!?
Krait=dback with 3 buttons as far as I know..
Bottom line is only dback, krait and viper were good mouses, anything newer is just utter crap.Wish they kept old dback as their classic line, like with allstars shoes or levis 502 pants, too bad?
You could elaborate more on why Diamondback 3G and Salmosa are crap. Because they clearly not. In fact, for me, Salmosa is the most awesome mouse besides MX300 and WMO, even though I had many mice before and tried almost all major gaming mouse in the last 7 years.
I had a ProClick, an Diamondback 3G and an old Diamondback. The OG dback was the only one worth a shit. And even then I don't understand why anyone liked it that much - the shape was horribly uncomfortable.

They want us to pay a premium for them to control and monitor your mouse (and computer) usage?
Think of the cost of developing the software; server setup/hire and all the wasted hours spent by their call-centre staff "dealing" with this depressing affair.
