Lately there has been some discussion regarding various mice and their specifications. Mainly it's been about the two newest mice from Razer and Logitech which is the Copperhead and G5 respectfully. Given the fact that a lot of readers here like to upgrade to the latest and greatest it's easy to understand how some of the older and "inferior" mice might be overlooked. Two mice in particular have fallen into some recent criticism and questioning due to the fact that their older counterparts of similar shape were indeed not quite ideal for gaming. However my goal right now is to point out these two mice and let everyone know that they are indeed up to the task of fragging with the best of them.

This mouse uses the same optical engine as Microsoft's late Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. Although it doesn't have the same shape and lacks and extra button or two, it will still get the job done. It may not have 2000dpi or built in 500hz USB hacks, but for most gamers that still use a lower sens, 400dpi with 9,000 fps still gets the job done just fine.

This mouse also uses the same optics of the 3.0. 400dpi and 9,000fps only with a different shape. It does look similar to the Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 at first glance, but unlike the 2.0, it does have a 5th button. Depending upon how you hold this mouse, the 5th button may or may not get in your way, but if it doesn't it's quite a comfy mouse to hold.

So there you have it. Pictures and names letting everyone know that these mice are suitable for gaming. Hopefully the need to explain to a few random posters that don't bother to read the rest of the posts on a particular thread or picture will disappear.
