The matchup of Darkside vs. The Inner Party served as the soup and salad of Round 4. Empire vs. Hochspannung was the icing on the cake.
Unfortunately, somebody forgot the rest of the meal.
There was a sudden burst of flavor as team Silent Service was dropped by KRIEG, but the rest of the matches just weren't that tasty.
Sure, the Doctors showed that they really do practice a map before taking on their opponent. KRIEG evidently spent some time practicing mp_sub before the Sunday rematch as well. In the end, the results stand just about where everybody expected, with not a single upset occuring.
This week, on mp_base, the meal just keeps getting better:
Empire over KRIEG (place bets)
Yet another week of the same ol', same ol'. Empire still hasn't faced a top-tier team, with this round being no different. Sure KRIEG is a decent team who have defeated some decent opponents, but I doubt they'll put the kind of pressure on III that Hochspannung did. However, Empire isn't considered a top-tier team by any means either. In the end, the victor of this match really doesn't matter because they'll probably get squashed in the next round. Watching Empire get squashed should be fun, so I'll pick them over KRIEG.
Update: Empire over KRIEG 3-0
Paradigm Shift over Doctors (place bets)Update: DR over -P- 3-1
Darkside over Team Abuse (place bets)Update: D|S over Abuse 3-1
DeathTouch over Wolfmorder (place bets)
1) It's Wolfmorder
2) They're facing DeathTouch
3) This time there isn't anything to joke about.
Wolfmorder, prepare to get owned.
Update: dT over -wm- 3-0
