Looks like a Blizzard version of Braid, impressive. Will give it a try.

Tried the demo yesterday.

This game is awesome.
The story telling, animations, gameplay, everything is great, and the graphics and art style awesome aswell.

It's 30€ on steam, and i don't know how much content will be there in the full version, that's why i'm hesitant to buy it just yet, but i'll probably get it in the end.

in the video it looks kind of multiplayer-ish.
or is that always one peron controlling all those choracters?

The video is showing 2 player coop, and i dont know if you can switch there, but in the singleplayer you can switch between the thief, mage, and warrior any time you want.

They all have different abilities, and you need them all to solve puzzles.

Sadly, though, I hear that multiplayer on PC won't be available at launch - only on PS3. They're planning to patch in network support, but I don't know how long it will be. =(

It's really fun. Oldschool gameplay + newschool graphics, pretty much.

I remember Pandemonium, never played it but read reviews et cetera. Thought it looked crap.

Never played it but always wanted to, I thought it was a was good idea to merge 2D gameplay witih 3D graphics like that.

mario 64 kinda dwarfed everything at that time though.

Materia Keeper was a boss from Final Fantasy 7, located in the Mt. Nibel caves
He had a lightning attack called Trine, I can only hope this is as cool as that was.

It's an Enemy skill as well!
(Can also be learned from Yuffie's father in Wutai)

tbh, i never used enemy skills, ever
except for that one you get from the snake-thing outside of the Chocobo Ranch on the first continent.

Trine was mighty powerful vs. robots!

edit: and the blonde guy in white suit with his panther.

Rufus? You only face him once, in the Shinra tower at disc 1. It's not possible to have trine by then :/

I dont think this game is better than braid simply because it does not introduce ANYTHING new.

- Sidescroller puzzle games - since 1980s
- Good graphics - since Quake 1
- RPG elements - since 1980s


HOWEVER, I definitely am going to support this game and buy it (thru steam orwhatnot) and play it with friends (when coop is patched up). I am going to support the game because I have not played a decent side-scroller in a decade... The last good side-scroller i played was Bermuda Syndrome, before that was Blackthorne, Flashback, games like that.

Abe's Odyssey and Exodus weren't good.

Anyway, back to Trine, seems like a fun game, and definitely is stealing the whole Lost Vikings concept but also improving on it for single player...

Compared to Flashback: The Quest of Identity, Blackthorne, and Bermuda Syndrome the Abe games were crap.

We do not want to encourage people to buy Trine with the idea that "online co-op will be patched in later". Please don't do that. We want people to buy Trine because they think they'll get a fun game experience with the features it has.

I no longer have any interest in the game. It's also $30 for PC, but like $15 on PSN, and I'm pretty sure the PSN version does have co-op.

yeah that completely lost my support, they're releasing the game for PC, with TWICE the money (and if you're european they will charge you 30 euros which is twice the PC version in USA and Canada) and on top of that, you will not have co-op........

so for europeans the game should be something about 9 euros, but instead, it is about 30..... lol :SSSSS
