viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
Xron: Hello. We are whylove team (Xron, nylina, shuugghh, tenshiko - players; DM - logistics, mastermindl; divnyz - manager) We are bunch of friends who were playing together few years ago and since then we are participating in random tournaments for fun. I dont think we have any active players nowadays but our manager divnyz gathered us and forced us to play. Last year we played hoq ca season and placed 4th with almost same squad but our core player YegorB disappeared so we are in troubles now. We are putting our hopes on experienced estonian player shuugghh to carry us. Me and nylina are newcomers to quakelive and werent playing previous versions but being managed by divnuz and led by shuugghh we can cause some damage. DM probably will not even play, but he shuugghh's fan #1 so he is in team. And in addition to me shuugghh and nylina we added tenshiko cause it seems he was only available player and with a lot of potential. And ye, in addition we never achieved and won anything. Everybody except shuugghh. If needed you can add taht nylina.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ CA Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
Xron: I think tenshiko playing ca on pub sometimes. Im touching quake once per months for playing few tdmpickup games. Nylina and shuugghh not playing at all.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
Xron: Last time we played it was like almost a year ago and good to see most of the maps still same. I dont know what is ra3map9 and ra3map20 but I dont think its hard to learn new maps in ca.

viaIImaximus: Your first opponent is the brainWashed. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
Xron: Honestly I dont know a lot of ca players. But last season we played, we beat them 2:0. So I think we have a good chances of winning again.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
Xron: My brain saying TNT. But my heart saying ins.

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
Xron: We dont really have any ambitions but ofc looking to atleast repeat previous result and finish closer to the top of the division.

viaIImaximus: Anything else that you would like to add i.e. shoutouts?

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
jusuiNen: Team ENERG members atm: jusuiNen, zcope, shaakzi, Teuz4, Giusedj and ouze. Zcope and me are q3 rocket arena old timers, Teuz4 and Giusedj are both from ITA and have been playing together in the past, shaakzi I know mainly from qlive ca pickups and ouze has played some cups before.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ CA Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
jusuiNen: Practising is for nabs, mwheh. No, rly I have just gathered players who can aim and use brains.. We don't take it too seriously.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
jusuiNen: Nothing special. Same maps are grinded through in ca pickup.

viaIImaximus: Your first opponent is the Italian Death Squad. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
jusuiNen: They have like whole ITA playing, so It's hard to say who are in the final lineup. h41 has always wicked lg :) If we can control the pace all should be good.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
jusuiNen: I think we have the strongest team if everything runs smooth.

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
jusuiNen: Win the whole shit ofcoorz. Scene is so small after all..

Clan: Germany Team CODIAN

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
mapezaiD: The clan CODIAN, also known as Custodians of the Night, was founded by mapezaiD during November 2014. We are working to establish a competitive Clan Arena Team. Hope, love and passion for eSport are the three cornerstones of our team. In addition, loyalty, sportsmanship, a positive attitude and the will to push one's self beyond any perceived limitations of ability are important qualities of our members.
Our Team for the HoQ CA 4v4 tournament in the spring season of 2016 is as follows: k1llsen, Nitrino, TodesKnecht, Supremee, pawz, DKZR, byTe, peppe.
I think the first four players will be very familiar to those who follow competitive quake.
While the other four players may not as widely known in the quake community, they are very capable players in their own right.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ CA Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
mapezaiD: Yeah, I prepared my trousers!

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
mapezaiD: I am pleasantly surprised with regard to the map pool, especially that you made the decision to drop the overplayed dm6. Not to mention that you put in some great old-fashioned ra3maps!

viaIImaximus: Your first opponent is The Northern Tribe. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
mapezaiD: This will be a tough Match for both Teams, I think tnt is a highly-skilled team, fantastic players, and a great bunch of guys. As to the outcome of the match, this is difficult to say as both teams are of a similar skill level in my opinion. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
mapezaiD: TEAM CODIAN!

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
mapezaiD: To take the first place, with the secondary objective being to have as much fun as possible while doing so.

viaIImaximus: Anything else that you would like to add i.e. shoutouts?
mapezaiD: Never Surrender!

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
PerpetualWar: Hi! brainWashed is team I'm managing for some time now (since 2010 if I'm not mistaken). Used to be TDM clan before, lately switched to CA. Current players are: Art1sta, ImSoBeast, rawx, Ruff1an, dest, cool_breeze, Champi0n, bluhub, and myself (as backup ofc :)
All of them are long time quake players, and very active in CA scene. You will find most of us in #capickup channel at Quakenet irc network.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ CA Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
PerpetualWar: We actually did practice quite a bit. Most of the pcw's we had were against teams such as tnt, LG and nubz.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
PerpetualWar: I hate it. ... NOT! :)

viaIImaximus: Your first opponent is whylove. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
PerpetualWar: whylove has some very good players. Tenshiko are others are known to be good CA players, so we will have hard time, but I expect us to win if we can put our best lineup in this match.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
PerpetualWar: Favorite are prolly ENERG and tnt, but codian and IDS have very strong teams as well. It will be interesting to watch for sure :)

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
PerpetualWar: I guess we would be happy with mid scoreboard (as long as we are not last). But we are here to make an upset, if we do that, we will be happy :D

Clan: Europe Loaded/Gunz
Team leader: Europe Djackz

viaIImaximus: Hello! Would you be so kind to introduce your team to us (who the players are, what their/your experience is in Quake and the HoQ league)?
Djackz: Loaded/Gunz,
were founded by Djackz end 2013 and created by Realster when QuakeLive was still in standalone version. The plan was to create squads in different gametypes like; Clan Arena,Capture The Flag and finally Team-Deathmatch in different divisions. We did however choose to specialize on Clan Arena.
Slowly we started to form a team with friends and created some squad leaders. We starting to play serious in Clan Arena together in 2014 and aim for more clan-wars and practice games and won plenty of our clanwars. Even still we recruited more players that helped us to gain stronger squads. In 2015 we played in HoQ and won division3(http://loaded.shivtr.com/newsd_entries/313737).
At one point we decided to step it up. miSc provided a proper teamspeak server and developed an excellent website(www.loadedgunz.com). Further more CockZ1lla is hosting some Quake Live servers which turned out to be very popular within the community.

viaIImaximus: Did you prepare for the HoQ CA Spring 2016 season? Did you practice?
Djackz: We are born ready! Most of us played the quake series for years. There is no reason for us to do bootcamps. Our training schedule for HoQ is at least every sunday or more games during the weekend. Some of us can play almost everyday some of us only weekend.

viaIImaximus: What do you think of the map pool?
Djackz: Its cool to add maps that aren’t popular, but we miss campgrounds and the rest of the ra3maps. This would make the tournament more interesting.

viaIImaximus: Your first opponent is Frag Emm Clan. What do you think of them? Who do you think has a better chance of winning?
Djackz: Well it is hard to say, it depends on the days form, like in all other sports.

viaIImaximus: Now that the groups have been released, who do you think the favorite is in your division?
Djackz: Everyone has the chance to win. I think we will see some surprises.

viaIImaximus: What are your team's ambitions for this tournament?
Djackz: WIN of course and having a lot of fun while playing against old friends.

viaIImaximus: Anything else that you would like to add i.e. shoutouts?
Djackz: We wanna shoutout to the whole Quake community and say thank you that we could introduce our clan. We hope to see you soon and wish everyone a lot of fun. Hopefully the quake community will never die.
