Jibo started his Quake 4 career with an excellent 9th-12th at CPL Winter last year, but has not really taken off from there. Whilst others have blossomed and improved each time they have played, Jibo’s form seems to have stayed pretty static from day 1. He is still a very dangerous player and although he has hardly set the world alight in Quake 4, he has shown flashes of his old Quake 3 brilliance.

He has certainly found a home at the Asus tournaments, with a 2nd and a 3rd (both behind his long time friend Cooller) and is arguably the best Chinese Dueller around. I am sure Rocketboy would have something to say about that, but with him taking a more Quake 3 CPL route to glory, the Quake 4 flag is left to Jibo to fly.

As with his form in Quake 3, he is still astonishingly inconsistent. One day more than capable of beating Cooller and the next failing to beat a player he should win over in his sleep. What it does mean of course is that, you never really know which Jibo you will get when he goes to a tournament, hence his results being erratic, not just in the end results, but from one match to another in the same tournament.

His end results however do appear to be consistent, although finishing in the middle order of the tournament can never please him.

His inclusion as one of the top 20 players in the world is an argument that would be hard to support and that must mean, that despite his popularity, it is difficult to see him being picked ahead of so many other players in this list for WCG.
