We all gathered around to watch some of the girls tournament that RadioITG broadcasted. Their setup was awesome, and all their casters were great. Honestly they make TSN look like a fucking joke, and that's the simple and honest truth, iTG right now is the best esports broadcasting there is, hands down.

dj|WHEAT drops a crowd pleaser super pose that left many of the female attendees, including several booth girls as well as the elderly completely unconscious from the shock wave of psychoelectric sex he emits from his person when deciding to showcase his amazing posing powers.

Angel Munoz showed up at this year's QuakeCon and told various parties what little information about the next world tour he was willing to put forth. In talking directly to him, he was EXTREMELY nice, and really didn't reflect all the negative angst that he gets here. But that's not surprising really, since Fatal1ty is pretty much the same way. Angel was kind enough to give further hints to the next World Tour game being Quake 4. We can smell it comin. Trillian seems to be offering me a seat at the booth. She was very nice as well.

Missy has a great smile. I always loved taking her picture because she has one of the best I have ever seen. Mom and dad should know that braces money is was well spent!

Press Forward Down Downfoward + Strong punch to make Trito perform her after-match choke move! Ms. X is about to feel the wrath after coming out on top in a well played game for the Winners Bracket Semifinal.

This is where we watched the games take place that were not broadcasted via iTG. They had alot of chairs and bleachers set up with 6 different plasma screens covering the various tournament games going on at any given time.

The future champ to be thought she had a shot, but I think the way in which she played throughout this tournament surprised even herself. Must have been some affective bootcamping. ;)

After what seemed to be an eternity of struggling with her config, Alana was ready to dominate her FFA round.

Ms. X had a helluva time trying to get her settings right. Defunct monitors and squirrely mouse drivers had her guessing all tournament on her sensitivity. g0pher was usually there to do his best to help though.

It's all about the pink sweatband, her second T was peeling off, but it held on long enough for the tournament to finish.

Therese gets ready for her FFA qualifier game, which only had 3 players, one of which was Ms. X, making a few of us question what the admins were thinking. -_-

Forever and Maddog give us an amazing Danish pose. These guys hung out with us alot at QuakeCon and were pretty cool, even though Forever's sleepwalking flip off the bed almost killed g0dm0de.

A picture taken right before the first day of play was to get under way. Therese is sporting her g0d hoodie which, among other things, would later come to the rescue of RocketBoy. Stay tuned for that!

dj|WHEAT and co are getting set up for their almost non-stop coverage. iTG had one of their best event coverage offerings ever at this year's QuakeCon. Congrats on a job well done.

I need a medic!

You might remember Tim from such entertaining events as Cursive's MML4 gallery where he played the part of ^__^ face man giving out processors in the Doom 3 event. He was back this time doing some similar tournaments, and is always a cool cat to talk to.

for his upcoming $270 sound card. Looks like it's time for the kids to get a job!

Fatal1ty gets the jump on everyone else as he decided at the last moments to change his shootout event from Quake 3 to Quake 4. He seriously annihilated everyone he played, except for a little 7 year old girl who managed to pummel him a few times. John was a great sport.

Let ze shootout begin! Fatal1ty suprises many with his abrupt change from Q3 to Q4 for his shootout. He ownimigated everyone he played, cept a 7 year old girl who gave him a proper pummel or two. John was an awesome sport.

Hope you enjoyed my shitty quality pictures from the event. Everyone had a great time and I was really glad to meet all the people that I did. There was no real baby mama drama to speak of and everyone was cool. I'll leave you with one final picture that pretty much sums everything up: Sidefx sitting on a pugile stick in the bouncey pit. You're thinkin "how does that sum everything up?", well, I think it shows what was important at this event, not bothering to give a rats ass what else is going on around you or what people think or how dumb you look at any given moment, but the important part is just to smile and have a good time, and that's exactly what we did. Lotus was on the virge of losing his pants when we were taking stuff to the car. I came up with the idea of making a belt out of a short patch cable he had. Here was the final result, and it worked pretty damn well. Maybe if he does well in ESWC he can invest in some clothes that fit. ^_^

GiMiX posing with [Gummi]Purple. She had her hair up with glasses on most of the time, but if she takes them off and lets her hair down, it's like one of those transformations you see in the movies, and she's actually rather hot.

Here's where all the major games were played, the lighting was kinda poor and my camera sucks in the flash department, but you get the idea.

The power of his shaven head was almost enough to take down dawgpound->G in a suprisingly tight quarterfinal match. Side practiced very hard at the event and suprised alot of people with the level he was able to play at after being inactive for a very long time.

An extremely happy canadian who worked his way into the quarterfinals by getting the easiest draw in the tourney by far. We poked fun at him about it the whole time, and he remained a good sport about it, almost as good as Panda, who also took all of our joking extremely well. Toque is a great guy.

Ross realizes that he must next face xyber, but low and behold ross has forgotten his stuffed animal case accessory and therefore stands no chance. What a foolish mortal.

This guy was actually a decent admin and worked hard to keep everything in line. He was kinda clueless at moments, but a good guy none the less.

Apparently you can't be a champion now adays without a god damn stuffed animal on your case. Someone should have told me this. Next LAN i go to, i'm going to bring my 4 foot tall 50lb stuffed bear that I won at the fair with me and put it on my case. The streets will flow with the blood of those who challenge the girth of my mighty stuffed animal.

...or is it dx:ep1taph, once again with his sleepy Panda face he copied from GiMiX. You decide.

Lotus wore a shirt that actually fits for the final. We agreed that it was his best bet for top performance. We can only hope that by asking for his shoe size, pant size, and shirt size that the ESWC committee is planning on providing all attendees with matching pajamas with the feet built in. That of course would be the ultimate gaming ensamble.

GiMix tries to straighten his glasses which were damaged in a joust fight with sideFX (i think), you'll see how crooked they are in upcoming pictures. We see that Tips the turtle is aroused and ready for action as well.

He seems happy to be packing up and heading out.

He's just happy to be here, and happy that he didn't get sent back to Cuba.

Toque is pondering 2 things in this picture: The first is "should i use Hardware 3D sound or regular 3D sound?", and the second is obviously "why does everyone at this LAN pronounce my name wrong".

Apparently ross was indeed molested by Panda's penis turtle. After several hours of conseling and a private back massage, GiMiX and ra were able to move past this tragic event.

and when i say fix a PC, I mean he was trying to see if there was someway he could downloading Pudding from the internet. The tournament was delayed at various points due to incapable administration and hardware problems, most of us were as patient as we could be, but it was still rather frustrating.

ep1 was deep in a zen-like trance as he set up all his hardware and entire config with his eyes closed, chanting an ancient cantonese hymn. This is obviously the case, since I am a flawless photographer.

Here's a happy picture of Lotus who is setting up his machine for the first day of the brackets. I was picking on him because apparently he's wearing a shirt that's about 3 sizes too big. He said he didn't bother to pack much because he has a whole other suitcase full of clothes ready to leave for Portugal (for ESWC Bootcamp) when he returns home.

Ping decides to play around with my tourney PC since he slept through the qualifying round and has to watch the remaining tourney, after this picture was taken, he was beaten thoroughly then fed to bears riding sharks that spat bumblees which were on coldfire.

GiMiX works to set up his PC, hoping that his mouse doesn't die mid game as it tends to, and ultimately did vs Lotus in the winners bracket final, and he was still able to come out on top.

And that answer is Tips, the anatomically exaggerated Turtle. Enjoy.

Lotus' technique was no match for ross. It should be noted however that i almost went on a rampage vs ross, before we stopped at 7-1!

6'3" is too much of a reach advantage! ^_^

Lotus->G, Ping, and Ep1taph had an opportunity to play a 2nd FFA round for another 3.73Ghz processor. Lotus won in a convincing manner and poses here with the same Intel rep who doesn't seem as happy as he was when DP won. Apparently i am the master of red-eye photography, as Lotus seems to be ready to transform like Micheal J. Fox in Teenwolf 2.

What's a LAN for if not for opportunities to look like a complete tool without giving a rat's ass what other people think?

Intel was giving out these strange plastic balls that were hollow on the inside with these sort of spikey massaging things. Check out the most inventive use one of the MML attendees found for these things on the next page.

We all know Doom 3 multiplayer is about as fun as putting your fingers through a tablesaw, but with 2 P4 3.73 Extreme Edition processors up for grabs, many of the UT players who were able to get up at 9am for this tourney particiapted. I recently returned from Louisville, Kentucky, USA where they had the 4th annual Million Man Lan event. The prizes weren't even that interesting (aside from the extremely expensive processors Intel was giving away), but the quality of the player pool was very impressive given that the event itself was not UT exclusive.
