It was in Vysoke, i think very small it was in the north-east... i dont remember the czechs name of the region there :) but if u wait i will remember :O

north-east... nope it isnt sumava, silesia, hmm i didnt know u could ski there. anyhow, im glad u liked it there. oh and mentioning prices... hehe when czechs and stuff go to germany or whatever they shit themselves. duh. 500mL of good old czech beer (18 czk, roughly half a euro) is cheaper than bottled water (eg bonaqua, evian) in any restaurant u go to... and then the government is surprised about the insane amount of car crashes which occur every year or the vandalism in prague. remember those plastic cows put in the capital of every EU country to commemorate their entry into the EU? well only in prague were a few of these cows vandalized. the goverments like omg, and giant posters showing the vandalized cows were screaming how fucking barbaric and vulgar we are. no. were just drunk. id bet anything that 90% if not all of the cows were vandalized by drunk ppl. duh. coz beer is cheaper than water. wat do u expect? :D

If I looked right the region where i was, is called Jizera Mountains. But still don't remember the czech name. Yeah I remember good beer was cheaper then water. In the Pub we went every night the cheapest beer even just costs 17czk. The czech guys the couldn't speak german very good, but was the one of my group who always had to speak with him, it was confusing but amusing ;).
But if I notice beer is cheaper then water in czech i can understand how it comes to all this problems you say here.
