just in case anybody here cares (given that this place is supposedly about old school FPSs), fyi: a new tribes game is currently being developed. Looks to be quite similar to Ascend in style and execution but I only watch some videos. Old people on the Tribes subreddit discuss movement, weapons, maps, loadouts and whatever such baloney makes a "good" tribes game.
Also Tribes apparently had its 25 year anniversary a few days ago.
Here's videogame gameplay video of good gamer doing lots direct rockets in new game with very serious music:
as you can see there is apparently telepoart ability in this game.
