If you remember the kick ass music video of Biting Elbows - 'Bad Motherfucker', the guy behind the video, Ilya Naishuller has made a full length feature film with A-list actors. Probably worth a watch.
the original music video (someone posted it in ESR back then)

Yeah I think 5 minutes is a good amount of time for anything jason statham style. It doesn't matter how innovative you are... at the end of the day, it's still the same thing, so 90 minutes is gonna be "uhuuuhhhhh".
Still looks really well made though, no denying that.
World's first action POV film? That's a bold statement, considering they've been in production for nearly 70 years.
> Critical reaction
>> The New York Times film critic wrote, "In making the camera an active participant, rather than an off-side reporter, Mr. Montgomery has, however, failed to exploit the full possibilities suggested by this unusual technique. For after a few minutes of seeing a hand reaching toward a door knob, or lighting a cigarette or lifting a glass, or a door moving toward you as though it might come right out of the screen the novelty begins to wear thin."
This movie tried to do it and proved decades ago that longer POV sessions don't make for a good movie, it's harder to relate to character and doesn't suit cinematic aesthetic.
Occasional POV scenes can be outstanding but whole movie? How come director of this movie hasn't done any research at all and just bluntly stated this is first in the world... someone that makes a 90 min POV flick probably believes that.
Still looks really well made though, no denying that.
