Nice with Norway servers, though im thinking danish could have been better since its a passtrough for a great deal of quakers.

But then again, I know it requires a hosting company willing to host servers free of charge for ID.
And thoose are not easy to find.

Here is a guy who was willing to pay for all turkish servers, free of charge for id, I emailed both sync and support but received no answer whatsoever.

And tell him about what you can offer for them if they are going to implement turkish servers.

That was the case with me aswell (im the one who set up the deal with the norwegian servers), i tried to get a hold of syncerror for almost 4 months with no luck.

Once i got in touch with sponge it all was up and running within a day or two :)

This one pings 30 ms lower and has the potential to become new clan game hub, if only Russians manage to find good route there :)

Obviously, it depends on the player's location, the Swedish server is the best for me with 30 ping (next come Oslo with 35 and Moscow with 40).

Yeah, sure, it's useful if you play duels with your neighbor. Just how much useful Polish server is to me.

But for playing clan games or going through a duel tournament, you will need a middle ground - a server where neither of us pings 70. Even better if our ping difference was like 5. We didn't have a server like that.

as a proud user of Orange, former TPSA, i value swedish servers a lot, as they are the only ones where i always ping as i should, contrary to whole western europe, where i get randomly 150 ping [tpsa we love you<3]

It's your problem if after YEARS of quaking you're still with the worst provider in the country. There are no contracts this long. I understand why my mum stays with them, but can't understand a gamer saying he's proud to have 150 ping everywhere.

I don't have access to cable TV or any cable that's not maintained by TPSA. So that makes us kind of similar, eh?

But Netia's LLU service gives me ping 12 to Warsaw, 32-45 to most of Europe. That's on TP's cabling because there's nothing else.

And yes, that's much better than any cable provider. And yes, anything is better than TPSA, ping-wise, price-wise, whatever you pick-wise.

Oh and in case you're wondering, only TPSA charges 29 z&#322; for "line maintenance" whatever that is. Same cable with another provider = no charge.

If we exclude playing over UMTS and over shared connection, TPSA _is_ worse provider in this country.

why would i wanna thank id for making a stupid decision? as far as i can tell, oslo servers will only benefit norwegian (5 or so ping) and island. keep in mind also that they closed romanian servers and are about to close italian. i really dont see how this decision is beneficial to more than a very low precentage.

So a better decision would be to not accept the kind offer of Host1?
