Seems nice but I cant install it ? After clicking install for greasemonkey, nothing happens and I dont have it in Manage scripts in Grease monkey. Any idea how to fix it ?

Hmm, it works just fine for me when I click install. What exactly does it do when you click the button? Just nothing?

I click install on the page and then firefox ask me to clikc install again to add to greasemonkey. And when I click it nothing happens. I restarted ff to see some changes but there are none. And iirc when greasemokey script is installed it should let u know that its installed. It just doesnt do anything.

Dunno what this could be.. do you get the same with scriptish?

Was getting that problem constantly with greasemonkey a week or two ago. Switched to scriptish and ran fine. This was with FF 6. I don't like greasemonkey anymore, the last few updates for it would break random scripts without any warning. Don't know if scriptish handles that differently, but I got tired of GM.

Right-click on the light bulb in the bottom right, select "Download User Script", and enter the URL to the ".user.js".

Or, for scripts from userscripts.org, click on the "[URL]" button, paste the URL, and click the Install button. After you're done, press Alt+Home to go back to QL.

* Due to the above, the notification bar update time has been reduced to from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.

* Updates to the stream list no longer require a user script update.

* Added support for fallback stream status sources (in case my server has unexpected downtime).

* Added Tastyspleen to the stream list.

As soon as Chrome is officially unblocked I'll make sure it is supported. I'm focusing on Firefox/Prism for the time being.

Looks like it works fine in Chrome. No auto-updating, but it will show an alert when a new version is available.

To anyone using this userscript: do you like/dislike (or don't care about) having popular, but potentially non-Quake, streams show up?

I'm testing out a new version which will show either:

a) all tracked streams, regardless of game
b) "likely Quake" streams, which aren't guaranteed to be Quake but probably are, or
c) "only Quake" streams, which are those explicitly advertising Quake

Given the script name, and likely users, I'm considering making "likely Quake" the default and giving users the option to show one of the alternatives.


*edit* The new version also shows game (when available) and viewer count when hovering over a stream name.

How was it set before? Sometimes there was Starcraft when I clicked the link. I don't mind seeing some Warsow

The current system tracks a certain set of streams which are primarily, or solely, for Quake. The downside is that if a streamer broadcasts a different game, it will still show up in the list.

The new system (mostly) takes into consideration the game streamers announce they're playing, and allows the limited filtering described above.

It would be cool to add every single one, like Teamliquid do. And to manage the streamlist in a proper way just make the most popular/known nicks like strenx cypher zoot faceit etc to be those whom are shown in the list, and add a "+" icon below the list to view the other streams. That way, everyone has a chance to get viewers and the quake community can notice and have the opportunity to watch other streamers below the "pro-skill" level.
