fuck a game that needs stupid gimmicks like this to be played effectively.

yeah, lets play LoL or sc2, two very popular games, who are not made solely of gimmicks and stats.

quake is one of few games that comes out with a surprisingly low amount of gimmicks.

For me calculating the times is easy, it is remembering the times of more than 2 items that i start to struggle :X

I struggle with timing multiple items as well. I'm not what kind of tool could help with that though. Right now, if I pick up mega, I do the math in my head quickly (if I pickup at 7, I say out loud "17, 27, 37, 42", quickly adding 10, 10, 10, 5), but if I subsequently pick up red armor and do the math, I forget the mega timing. I'm hoping that by not having to count, and just having things memorized, that I'll be able to remember more item timings at once. I'd like to be able to time 3 or 4 items comfortably, to start controlling yellows better.

i'm no good at this myself, but others said this to me:

keep an order of items, do not change the order.
keep saying out loud said order, whatever timings you actually got.

eg.: map has mh/ra/2x ya and you only got ra and one ya time: "x 21 40 x" or something like that.

When you done learning the timings, and you pick up mega at 7, you will just say out loud 42 instead of calculating anything.
The only way is to memorize everything, or it will distract from the match too much.

Some people asked for extra features on the (QL forums, so I've made some changes.
- You can set the wait times up to 5s now.
- You can choose to hide the armor or mega times (if you only want to see one)
- You can select "count up" or "count down"
- Added an analog clock (can be hidden)
