The streamer's making some serious mistakes there.

As it's custom to pull down the quake console randomly midgame to make some unwanted adjustments. Switch to other applications just as randomly. Provide for regular sound drops and substantial lags. And restart the stream every five minutes.

No way a stream is gonna reach a broader audience unless it obeys ze rulez.

It seems they learned to do that from holysh1t.

nah, holysh1t improved a lot in last time. They did it often, yes.

Saying that I enjoyed that stream thoroughly today, because it's been totally stable and simply left undisturbed. In contrast to the experience I'm used to.

Admittedly, having only ~30 viewers helps a lot. But having the ql client and streaming pc properly configured before streaming starts does either.

No. As said, I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's been stable. Nobody's been fiddling around with the streaming client unnecessarily. And the general rule to never touch a running system (without need) has been properly honored.

I would like to know what people think of the guest casters who's good, who's not etc. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to do my usual casting but I have had willing community members. As well as people like dahang and calipt come in on stream :]

For me, the casting was good. As long as people stay on topic, i.e. the game, players and maybe some background on them or the tournament, I'm perfectly fine.

In fact, I usually prefer not having some of the "big" names involved, because those tend to lean increasingly into advertising mode as they're starting to smell business opportunities. So just having other players/hobby casters putting in an honest effort is always appreciated by me.

The games were a mixed bag obviously. But I guess everybody's acknowledging that you guys are trying to build something, and that's sure always welcomed and appreciated. Rome wasn't built in a day either, was it.

i am not sure why welt but this vod from anh tv only works for some. DaHanG comes in during the first or second map. Some people can see video and audio and some can see audio and anh tv logo. I had to refresh the page a bit for it to work

Is this directed at me? Because if so, don't get me wrong in assuming that I'm a streaming expert, because I'm not. And while loosely interested in video encoding, I certainly keep my hands off flash video.

In this case though it looks like a bug. Could be on either end, the production software (procaster) or the flash player, maybe a particular version of it. Like the video playing back fine in player version x.y while not in version x.z.

I'm only getting the audio and that still image with the logo here too. The video is there though, I see it when I pause the stream. But once I press play it's only the still image again. So obviously, the player doesn't pick up the video, albeit available, for whatever reason.

If that procaster software has a support forum, that'd likely the first place to inquire about this issue. I'd be surprised if it was a singular occurrence.
