This means you can access facebook, and email. You can access google Docs, which means you have all your word processing/spreadsheeting needs sorted. Simple browser games will work, and pretty soon I'm sure there will be a pay-to-play itunes-like service (or a free ad-supported one) available. Streaming HD is already commonplace.



Isn't that covering 90% of what computers are used for? and you dont even need a harddrive larger than 100mb for ALL of the above.

(on a side note the evolution of computing from dumb terminals -> smart terminals -> dumb terminals is quite interesting)

Not to mention the fact that you can have the exact same desktop experience anywhere in the world on a google OS computer.

Google OS is for those people who see PC's as a means to an end, rather than those who see it as an end in itself (i.e. ESR nerds)

maybe it's simple enough so the total computer noobs (mostly the old generations that skipped using them all their life) can finaly use internet ?
