The numbers on that site are incorrect. That 2.68 microsecond number was the shortening of the day due to ONLY the Indian Ocean earthquake in 2004.

you know that the link has a few facts wrong..
for starters, there was only one engine change, that was from quake 2 to unreal.
since then they received updates on the unreal technology, and the latest updates where from unreal2 tech.
Since then, they rewrote quite a lot of the engine. The Renderer was rewritten from scratch, network code was also rewritten I think.
Because of all the rewritten stuff it wouldnt work out to receive any more updates on the unreal tech, otherwise they would probably have been at unreal3 tech by now.
But the point is: it's still based on the unreal engine tho, it's never been quake III, and it's never been an own engine.
It is a rewritten unreal engine on par with unreal 3 or higher.

Milestones in the game industry aren't indicative that the game is almost completed--for all we know the milestone might just be a "First Playable" which would mean they are more like at the 30% mark.

Human Head studies and the Radar Group are working on Prey 2.

If you read through the twitter updates you will realize he's "at work", talks only about the Duke and various things related to the Duke games "Holoduke will be yummy." and so on. He is also in Dallas, Texas, where Duke is being developed while Prey 2 is being developed in Wisconsin (which is about as far away as you can get in the US). He also celebrated the milestone with the team in Texas.

So I would not say it's more likely to be Prey 2, on the contrary I would say it's highly unlikely.

The characters/environment were dull, the weapons (all, what, 2 of them?) were uninspired, the gameplay was nothing more than a generic shooter, and the story was terrible. The only thing it had going for it was the portal idea, and it ended up being a gimmick that didn't make the game any different than if they weren't there at all.

Very shortly after release I saw it selling for £5-£15 and no higher (RRP for a pc game is usually £30-45).

I actually quite enjoyed it. Shooting enemies from the ceiling was awesome, kinda reminded me of Descent :)

the Duke Nukem franchise is still valuable enough to ensure that some day there'll be a sequel, even if they have to start all over yet again. maybe this is it, maybe not, but keep in mind that the first Unreal game was also years overdue and labeled vaporware until it finally did see the light.

A few years is one thing... a lot has happened in the time that we've waited on duke.

Either those devs are the most trustable people in the world or their NDA warrants the death of their entire family.

I call bullshit solely due to the fact that we have seen so little content these past few years/months it's almost impossible there was no leak from the inside.

With today's production standards, it's almost impossible to produce a game for so long without releasing content on which you will base your next move according to it's reception. Even less likely with a big market game like Duke Nukem.

leaked screenshots & videos almost always dont come from the devs, but from outside guys, like when they show the game a thirdparty, and someone there decides to leak the content.

Doom3 Alpha was leaked on the e3, halflife 2 sourcecode was leaked through an outside attack on the valve servers, using a hole in outlook I think.

devs wouldn't risk losing their jobs for a few screenshots they get nothing for in return.
so if the game does not leave the building ( they never showed the game anyone outside the hq), and you pay a little attention on securing the internet connection, it's very unlikely to have leaked stuff.
