Strafe-jump heavy game play is all over the place.
CPMA, Warsow, Quake 4, and in a somewhat diluted form, Painkiller.
Strafe-jumping adds a lot or depth to a game, and those who have been practicing on it for 11 years would probably resist giving it up strongly.
A lot of what people want Pro-Gaming to go big, hit television, and the like. For this to happen the community is going to need newcomers. Newcomers add population, and allow for a more universal experience, in watching your favorite gamers, and friends compete.
Strafe-jumping is not inviting in the least.
Strafe-jumping is a repellent.
