You WILL get sent to places like iraq (called a tour of duty) with insufficient equipment and die.
Both my nephews have signed up and I told em both what a stupid bunch of c***s they are along with their parents for encouraging them-when all they rally wanted was the house to themselves.

you don't have to do anything here, you can bail out anytime you want.. i think to complete it its like 9 months or so, i can't remember :). however you are not forced to do anything outside sweden unless you want to, and if so you're usually with FN
