disappointing that there are no nudes

there are no nudes because its an ESR wallpaper contest... entry 20 is pretty good imo.

im going to try and keep this brief and to the point...

the winner of the wallpaper contest is the entry with the most [+] and there is only a prize for 1st place, its a $50 headset from icemat and the title of "ESR Wallpaper contest winner."

there are 35 entries from talented people who dedicated some of their valuable time to produce a nice wallpaper for ESReality with the expectation that the best designed wallpaper would recieve the most votes. but the whole contest went pear-shaped when entry 36, the "joke" entry was posted (it wasnt posted at first because its insulting to ESReality and Icemat, and especially to the other people who made an effort for this comp.) but ZImmerman complained and the admins were forced to post it because it doesnt break any of the contest rules (please note neither does this post).

so whats the problem? the community will surely vote for the best designed entry, the one they might actually use as their background, and that entry will win? wrong. not enough people are taking this contest as seriously as the 35 competitors and they are just adopting the attitude of "oh lolz mspaint... ha ha vote." which shows that the general ESR user has little or no appreciation and respect for artistic/design talent, and its not something to be proud of.

so my appeal to you is to re-evaluate the entries and to vote for one (or more than one) that you really believe is good, one that you feel actually looks good on your desktop and is deserving of 1st place.

entry 20 is the closest runner up to the joke. so if you want to make a difference then [+] this one :)

I mean, i will plus smth that i like. Entry36 gave me a smile so it deserved its plus. Other wallpapers that i liked also got one, but not because the creator was working 3 weeks for some 3d stuff or whatever on it.

and on top of it, there isnt a single one out of the entrys that i would use as my own wallpaper because i am normaly using smth totally different as my background than just a logo with some text :) (like landscapes or whatever).

Btw, what the hell is "cape coloured ideology" supposed to mean? ZA guys can be overly-patriotic at times, but, so can other countries ... Remember how poll's involving Polosatiy and Boxer and Sky have gone down in the past?

This plus-race is completely subjective and the wallpaper in question is decent (not my favourite though). But, people can and should vote however they want, heck, you can plus more than one. A couple of new accounts from ZA (not even 5) shouldn't really affect the outcome. I mean people can tell their unregistered friends to vote.... can't they?

The contest is meant to be anonymous and yet shock horror all of the ZA community seem to be voting for #20 and defend it against #36 and others too as if their life depended on it.
