A selection of the photographs I took at WSVG London, UK Championships over the weekend.
I have not had time to name all the photos yet, so apologies. I will try and find some time to add comments to all, but for now I just wanted to give you guys the pics.
Im using a mixture of stuff, but for this event I was using a Canon digital SLR 350D body with a sigma DC digital only 18-200 lense f3.5 lense and a Sigma TTL Speedflash.
The low light was incrediby lhard to deal with tbh and i should have bought a low light lense with me rather than a long lense, but I guess the pics will pass.
I would usually run at about f2.8/25th/s in low light and ISO at around 400-800 but this event meant i had to work hard to get anything remotely workable and I ended up using 1600 ISO which adds a lot of grain to pictures with no flash. Not ideal and I think I will be trading in my 70-300 Sigma for a lower aperture lense this week.
well i dunno really, my step father had an interest and i kinda stole his to mess about with as a youngster, but back then it was no digital just normal SLR's and film. I kinda just learnt as i went, experimenting and so on.
A lot of the stuff I read is out there on the net, good forums with advice etc, so I suppose im self taught, but I would hardly say I had a vast knowledge of it, its a hugely complex world, but with a relatively small amount of learning you can get some pretty cool results with a good camera.
