Watch a lot of series? (49 comments)

( Journal: ESR)

Posted by Liefje @ 11:28 UTC, 4 May 2009 - iMsg

I do! A user of ESR has actually made a really cool website where you can keep track of all your shows and know when the next ones are screening.

www.episodecalendar.com

I know this seems like some spammy promotion but it pretty much is. The usefullness of the site speaks for itself!

too many :(

I watch shows like heros, lost, prison break, the supernatural, the office, breaking bad, bleach, naruto, faimly guy, hells kitchen etc... also lots of girly shows... gossip girl (my guilty pleasure) and ugly betty are my favourite :)

What features do you think is better? I would like to know so I can improve :)
Personally I don't think that site is very readable, it's kind of crazy for my eyes :)

And their filter consist of 212 shows. That's not optimal at all and only covers some people's need. My database has over 15 000 shows as we speak, updated automatically on a weekly basis.

Adding the Swedish shows as well is something at least I'd like :)

ooh this one has torrents too?

By

Frexuz - Reply to #3

I want to keep it "legal", so I don't include torrents. EZTV's calendar only covers 3 days and I have to scroll 3 full pages to get to the bottom. That's something I don't like and tried to eliminate that problem.

Countdown list is the important part, not the calendar.

I have that too @ "My shows"

Yeah but it requires me to make a user and I really can't be arsed. Make a non signup area with the most important shows on.

Frexuz !

Where is he pulling this data from?

It's not bad, considering I usually hit wikipedia straight after watching LOST to find out when the next episode is. As you never really quite know with LOST, it could be 6 months.

We're sorry, but something went wrong.

We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly.

That's what happened when I click the activation mail as I signed up. I can't login and when I try to sign up again then my email is already in use.

If it cant even handle people registering then what's the point? It even actively prevents me from attempting to sign up again.

Willow, how did you guess? :D My source is secret ;)

Paladia. Im sorry about that. You are the first to encounter registration problems. Though your account seems to be activated in the database.

PS. If you guys have any suggestions for improvment, please tell! I made the site for you!

Aye, now when I login it actually seems to work, it didn't before. Let me try to make another account and see if I can duplicate the error.

Edit No sorry, wasn't able to replicate it.

Not that it matters much but you should do ratings out of 5 stars not 10

By

Frexuz - Reply to #26

The rating is from my source. Not made by me or my site.

ok :D

I don't really watch many programs so it's a mostly useless site for me anyway.

Cheap, i know, but you kinda failed to specify that only the first one to have it right gets a plus :)

just signed up, there needs to be a easier way to add shows, typing in each one would take me like 20mins!

Maybe some sort of tick box for the most popular ones :)

Not really. 'Becker' was the only series enjoyable in the amassed bullshit ranging from Sopra-gay-nos to Ho(u)se. Why? The acting was a disgrace, the plot pathetic, the characters wafer thin. But Ted Danson is so good as grunty man.

We already have a big fancy website for TV shows and subtitles in France with a huge calendar (you can also make a custom calendar): http://www.sub-way.fr/index.php?shard=calenda...=g_default

I'll give it a try tho, so I can fuck up frexuz' database again :)
