There has been a lot of protests. Not only on the streets but also in the media (all the newspapers started some campaign for free speech). Also, there were members of the parliament who votes YES even though they actually wanted to vote NO, but were afraid that they would get the cold hand by the other members of their respective parties. Yes, it's pretty chicken of them, but who would think you would find an ounce of courage in the right-wing parties, anyway?
