I've recenly installed Windows 7 64-bit on my notebook. I've found that q3 makes processor 100% used even when i'm in main menu O_o. is it normal? i never checked it before 'cause there were no other issues.
I have some stutters in-game (fps drops from capped 125 to some low value out of nowhere - no special action etc.). the're short, I think ~1sec or less, but it's rly annoying. I don't know, maybe its connected with this 100% CPU usage non-stop issue?
Any ideas, how to solve that?
my notebook:
T6500 @ 2,1GHz, 2MB
4GB RAM @ 800MHz
500GB @ 5400RPM
chipset Intel PM45
GPU ATi4330
So, hardware it's not bad (for q3), i don't know whats going on.
btw. i turn antivirus off while gaming (nod32)
no spyware, malware and any other crap. computer, fresh and clean.
newest drivers - catalysts 10.3.
