ECG is finished and as we have seen so many times before, no Scandinavian player was invited to the tournament by the local organiser. No matter the number of mails we send, the number phonecalls we make, how many different people we talk to - nothing ever happens. ESWC is set to begin in a not so distant future and I really think it's time for some Scandinavian participation in that tournament. It is in this occasion I have written a 'public mail' adressed to G3X who I believe is the right man to contact.

Hi David Garpenstahl, aka G3X.

I'm writing to you on behalf of the whole Scandinavian Unreal Tournament 2004 community regarding the upcoming ESWC-event in France. A mail was sent to you 1 week ago, signed by me and my co-workers at UnrealNorth.com, where all I asked for was a reply with what you have in mind about an eventual UT2004 ESWC qualifier. Maybe my inbox is refusing to accept mails from "sel.nu" or maybe you never cared to answer my mail. Infact, the very same thing happend at last WCG, we mailed but didn't get any answers. Actually, you didn't even care to answer the phone. And what happend with 'our spot' in the UT2004 tournament at ECG a few weeks ago? I would like to take the opportunity to say that the whole Scandinavian community was disrespectfully neglected when it comes to big tournaments the past year.

Anyway, that's history now, and what I want us to focus on is the present, the upcoming ESWC tournament. It is about time to send a Scandinavian player to a big event. The community is big, much bigger than it was back when You held the Swedish WCG 2003 qualifier. We also got more highskilled duellers then ever before, so this would be a good time to let the world know that Sweden got more to offer than an inactive legend named Sweden zulg.

I read an article written by You at SoGamed.com where you stated that an ESWC qualifier will be held at DreamHack this summer. A qualifier consisting of good ol' Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Great! But where is UT2004?

I'm hereby begging on my bare knees for You to arrange an UT2004 qualifier! Online or LAN doesn't matter, just make it happen! Our community deserves some Scandinavian participants at ESWC. If you need any help of any kind, don't hesitate to contact me and my co-workers at UnrealNorth.com.

Best regards
