Thorin. You are a troll and a rather boring one at that. This site if any has never hesitated to give tournaments a hard time if they screw up (especially compared to a lot of your "real eSports sites" that are so scared about offending organizers that they throw themselves to the ground in front of them). That was the case with CXG also. The Hills have gotten their fair amount of flak from ESR for the failure, and certainly far more than any criticism directed towards Angel or the CPL.

That I have a personal opinion that people shouldn't be hounded forever even for such a 'crime' as messing up a eSports tournament doesn't have any effect on that. If you disagree with my statement then offer up your own opinion on how long they should be hounded, who shall do the hounding and by what date you think they have been hounded enough. So go on, tell me how I should feel about this issue, troll-boy.

What was unconfirmed? The failure was confirmed very early on in the tournament. That you didn't have the guts to be critical is another issue. It has more to do with being spineless and dependant than on a lack of information. There was more than enough sources that was confirming the disaster as it was happening. Hell, your friends were in the middle of it.

So once again, you are not in the position to be critical or how I or ESR handled the CXG issue. We have no agenda that requires us to suck up to organizers, unlike many of the "real eSports sites".

Which "real eSports sites" are you talking about here? At the moment it all appears to be imaginary. Personally I've never worked for one so you'll have to enlighten me on the matter. I've also never had a reason I can think of to write postive or negative things about any tournament for that matter aside from Clikarena, something I left in the capable hands of my friend. Then again I actually go to these events as opposed to experiencing them through a browser.

With respect, obviously things were not set up correctly, nor was the event run professionally. I'm not sure if ignoring the fallout from the event for close to five or six months really was the appropriate thing to do, nor was a rushed apology shortly after the fiasco that was CXG.

What I find most disgusting about the whole affair was the fact that after promising things to attendees there was next to no official communication with regards to any monetary compensation for those who shelled out a few thousand to get teams to your event only for it to fall apart.

I should point out that this argument was run into the ground a few months ago by various others. I didn't attend the event but knew some people who paid quite a bit to fly over from the UK to take part.

Things can be set up correctly, but without any preparation for possible problems... CXG seems to have been set up that way.

Surely to set something up correctly, you'd have to have a contingency in place should something go wrong? I'm not saying they could have planned for the impossible, but at a HUGE lan, surely it's an impossibility for it to run perfectly?

First off the attendence was extremly low and the sponsors were very unhappy. Most decided not to pay the remainder of there balance to CXG inc. this caused a huge dent in CXG's budget and I do know that law suits are being handled with CXG and some of those sponsors. I do not work for CXG any longer nor do I get any information. This is all I know about your prize money and your promised travel money. Sorry for the lack of info. I am trying my best.

Walking away from it, while you are the main organizer isnt that nice. You may not be part of cXg anymore, but you were part of bad event, to get some respect again, you should do everything in your power to get the money for the gamers. Since the chapter of this event hasnt been closed yet, some clans paid over $ 10000 to get players there and let them sleep in a hotel. The money that you promised them, you should still try to get it coz you were the main organizer of the main event.

I talked to admins who were at the event shortly thereafter and I was told that they, by and large, were happy with the foot traffic they got. Not, perhaps, because of cXg itself, but certainly there was enough ELSE going on to let them get the foottraffic they wanted. They got enough foot traffic, I heard, that the blatent inability of the organization to pull off a major lan event might have been overlooked in the future (i.e. more funding might happen) because of it.

If they overcame their troubles and actually did a good event it would neutralize the negative effect the first event had on the scene.

I seriously doubt anyone of the former attendees would trust CXG enough to enter the tournament again after this fiasko. Since it seems Recon only wants to be a player again (wisely) it would take some new organizing and for players to take a chance. Would you take a chance to travel from europe for like $500 or how much it costs nowadays, knowing that you will probably get screwed by CXG again?

Think about it. If you were a player, you wouldn't want to risk $500 by going there. If you were a sponsor who had to risk $10.000, would the picture be any different? :)

You set up an enterprise, put money into at and it backfires. Shit happens, it's human to have something turn into a fiasco. cXg ends up as a statistic among the yearly business failures, nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't consider writing an apology on the internet as 'requiring guts' though... for obvious reasons. I don't think that it's a bad thing to do, but I don't think it should be commended either.

Writing an apology after an online non-profit tournament went wrong is ok, but writing an apology after a business enterprise failed just doesn't cut it. People invested money in the tournament, and the way cXg responded to that (i.e. no communication at all after the fiasco) was highly unprofessional to say the least.

I'm very sorry for your financial problems but you aren't the only people who made a loss it seems. Your liabilities were a personal risk though, and you should have known that this risk existed.

The participants mostly went home empty-handed as well though, and after cXg announced that there might be some form of compensation, radio silence followed. I think that that's unacceptable.

Many parts of CXG going wrong were my fault and others. I guess the community is not getting what I am trying to say here. I AM SORRY for anything I had to do with it. I seriously tried my ass off to push gaming into professionalism. It blew up in my face. I went from having people PM me everyday and tell me what a great thing I was doing for the community to people telling me how much I have screwed it up. I guess this should go out to all those people dreaming of making something big for a community. If your thinking of trying to make a difference DON'T! it will only come back to bite you in the ass like it did me. Trust me if I had your money I would gladly hand it over to you. Unfortunatly I have nothing to do with CXG anymore. So yes I am taking the blame. No, I am not looking for your pity. I just want to let you all know that I screwed up and it's been haunting me for months and I am sorry. It's weird I am sitting here typing this to you all but my hands are shaking because I know no matter what I say there is no getting back but I have to make the effort just like I did with Lan Tactics and CyberX.

If he did I'm fairly sure he'd start small and get people who knew what they were doing. Not try to hold the biggest tournament of all time with minimal understanding of how to do such and little to no chance of carrying it through.

I think that putting up a tournament with such a magnitude they had planned from the beginning is hard enough, and It would be hard for anyone (which was my point). They failed miserably, but so would probably most of us under the circumstances with incompetent personal and bad networking etc.
I hope you dont think im defending CXG because I'm not, having the role recon had couldn't have been the easiest thing IMO, thats all :)

Yeah, the only direction this type of attitude will take you... is down the toilet. Look at how many organizations and/or people devote countless hours of their time and/or money into making successful events or helping make events successful... by the way... another lesson learned: It doesn't take millions of dollars to "push gaming into professionalism". Look at the large number of community run events which benefit gaming just as much as the major events. But to believe that money can make it all right... was probably the first mistake anyway.

valve have released there new offline steam mode now, if you had talked to them properly you would have known when they where releasing it, this hence hosting the event with it.

Freaks4u , netfire etc are all very good organizations and could have helped run the tournament for you, there was too much prize money and not enough invested into hiring people/organizations to run it smoothly/maintain it

This sounds like major BS to me.. The space where the event took place was sponsored, the computers were sponsored, no one got their prize money and all the admins were volunteers.. You drove trough the country promoting the event, making qualifiers where people probably payed to participate in, and that also never saw a bit of prize money.. So you spent 1.7million dollars in Gas or what ? I won't say you keep it to yourself as I think you never had it. I will just say that cXg would allways end up a fiasco, and that you probably knew it, and tricked everyone with non-existant prizes.
And no, I don't think it takes guts or whatever to apologise trough a website, mostly because you'r not really sorry and just wrote this for yourself, to be able to attend Lan's without getting shot. And you only play CS right ?

As some people have already pointed out you seem to have missed the bigger picture Chris.

What happened may have affected your small insignificant little CS life, but what it really did was hurt to lives of alot of gamers that don't play CS and never will. The Warcraf 3, CoD, RTCW, Quake 3 and even the CS girls are all reeling from this event - most of them in their pocketbook because they know they deserve some payback and see the void where its suppose to go. To stop this wondering would you mind calling your dad and having him kindly release an official press release on the state of prize monies/prizes.

The information cut off that happened for even admins is unbelievable. I wasn't responded to directly and instead had to relay through Mich to get my information. My emails weren't responded to and the promise of me getting paid back for my plane ticket to CXG is another broken promise/lie on top of the manner that this event produced.

I've held off publically stating anything but seeing this makes me wanna laugh. Who gives a flying shit about your CS life/career and yer ability to go on irc and worry about getting flamed about this on irc, this should have been soley an apology for the event with no mention of yer gaming life. If you want to fix that, at least address the real problem some more PUBLICALLY, regardless if you are 'with' cxg or not', then I am sure you will find youself with more of that life and freedom back.

However, I must say, where in the hell was the immediate news posts after the cxg weekend on the website to let people know what was going on? I could keep going but I think I will stop here. I guess I just might post my recap that I wrote a couple weeks after cxg that vented my frustrations.

Bull shit, you guys got hardware stolen, and had lack of employees, and nothing was even working for the counter-strike part. The event itself was professionally setup, you just chose the wrong city to host it in. Vegas is for old people, not young adults or teens. Your event bombed because the BYOC was next to nothing. You can't hold an event in the Desert and expect local support from the lizards and buzzards.

CPL in dallas is successful because there are many surrounding colleges and high schools to support the BYOC, which is all the sponsors needed for it to be considered successful. How do I know? I was a sponsor.

Orlando or even Chicago would have been better choices. I think Chicago would be a much better location as it's reachable by many competing clans.

As far as the tourney went, you could have loaded up 1.5 on the machines and they would have played. For $100k, they wouldn't argue that long about it.

For those complaining about the money you spent to attend, stop whining, only one team would have won and most likely it wouldn't have been yours and you knew that going it. You paid for the chance to play for the big bucks.

Honestly... that was the best location possible. Vegas is a perfect location for young adults and media alike, CXG's top market. In addition, CES took place during the same time, which attracted an insane ammount of business representatives, media, and youngs enthusiasts alike (seen pooring through every street of Vegas, as CES signs were seen every 3 feet).

Yes, Its Vegas, there is much to do, the BYOC should have been expected to be low, but that should have been an awesome thing. CXG should have predicted this and planned to set up more exhibition space to couple with the CES show. Instead they shorted vendors on space, set up a stage with no spectator area, were forced to remove rows due to fire codes, looked completely empty, and just in general added to the overall shittyness of the event. When is a better spectator setup and more exhibition space (expecially during CES) a bad thing? Now when is empty BYOC space a good thing?

Ontop of the already-made comment that they never got the chance to win money, you're forgetting that prize money isn't the only reason people would pay to fly across the world to attend this. There were many teams, not just in CS but in the other cancelled events, who were under no illusions about their ability, and knew they weren't going to win the competitions, but paid to attend because they wanted the chance to play against the best in the world, and have a damn good time at a well run competition. Not only did they not get the chance to win money from the competition, they didn't even get to PLAY in a competition. They paid however much in accomodation, plane tickets and entry fees only to sit around for hours and then get told the event was cancelled. These people deserve compensation.

They fucked up the entire tournament... I don't see how that has anything to do with the low BYOC attendance and thus the choice of location.

All you're saying is "They didn't do what they promised and they screwed us and the players big time!" The sponsors had nothing to do with you hiring capable staff, starting off small so you can get a better feel for running events of this magnitude, or merely knowing what in the hell you were doing. Since you failed to take the proper steps (or even know how to take them) to ensure the smoothest possible event at CXG Las Vegas, many companies that may have been considering supporting the esports movement are now thinking twice about investing at all in this apparently risky venture. Your organization, not its sponsors, has done lasting damage to the efforts of this community to advance the concept of esports.

We really don't care about your or your family's financial situation. The fact that your personal finance became an issue at all speaks volumes about your lack of planning and foresight with the event. We don't care about damage to your reputation as Chris Hill. We DO care about how hard it's going to be to get AMD to sponsor another event in the next few years, or to get Microsoft to even look our way with a straight face. You've made us into a laughing stock, and that is what you should take responsibility for.

Much respect for making a solid effort to run a tournament. God decides the outcome of everything, and there is always wisdom to be learned. Players should all support you for taking a risk and trying to do good for the community.

I felt this event would be cursed because gamers are young and vegas is a city of gambling and prostitution. God favors righteousness and curses evil. I am sure your intention was good and you should feel blessed that you have the opportunity to learn from a mistake. Seek knowledge and guidance from God and you will always prevail.

That was the biggest lump of horseshit I have ever heard. Fuckin self-righteous religious bullshit. Recon f'd up. Didnt matter if it was in Vegas or Zion, CXG would have still be a piece of crap. Amen.

This wasn't an apology, this was a cry for sympathy wrapped in excuses. In an apology you take responsibility. Chris basically passed on the bulk of the blame to others and then proceeded to complain about the burden he placed upon his own family with HIS failure. Nobody signed up for CXG looking to donate/invest in the Hill's LAN venture. We are customers paying for services that were never rendered. When you start a venture, hoping to reap the rewards of success, you also have to pay the price of failure. Only CXG can ultimately be blamed for this failure and they should be responsible for 100% of the burden. They would have enjoyed 100% of the success after all.

100% of the burden at the VERY least includes a refund of our entry fee's. I personally directly payed CXG $95 that I will probably never see again. $20 for the canceled online qualifier fee that was never refunded (even with all those late nights they spent answering their emails!) and then $75 for the wolf tourney that was no where near actually taking place. I would love to calculate the total $$$ CXG received from entry fees.

I also feel the prize money should be distributed. In our case that comes out to around $600 per player since we had 7 on our roster and only 6 teams sharing $25k total prizes. If not the prize money, then the travel expenses which should easily add up to $300 per person. So in my opinion, CXG owes me $400-700, despite the other costs they have incurred from their failure. I don't care if they lost a billion, they need to make it a billion and 400...

Even if Chris Hill needs to work for the next 10 years or declare bankruptcy, that is the risk he took starting this venture and taking people's money. I know a lot of legal action is being taken by players and I know I personally will consider Chris Hill in my debt until they make good on their promises. Consider all the harassment you are receiving as motivation to make good on what you owe your customers. It's not going to go away. I would guess any pity you get from this apology is coming from people that didn't get burned in your massive failure.

Until I get AT LEAST my $95 refunded, I will have a large amount of ragelicious emotion triggered by any mention of CXG or Chris Hill...

When there are $1.7 million at stake, a mature person would try to somehow insure himself of unforseen losses. Be that making solid contracts with sponsors or just taking a real world insurance on this event. I personally don't believe that sponsors could simply back out of their contract w/o being sued for a lot more money than they'd wished to donate in the first place. Yet if that was the case, the whole idea of organizing this event under conditions where people may or may not get paid in the end sounds either idiotic or criminal. Remeber an old comedy called "The Producers"? Could this be the case here? I personally lean toward the former: the man is an idiot. His 23 years of age complimented by 12 yearold's grammar support my conclusion.

I had a lan earlier in the year and I have since helped out on a few. I know what it is like to have stuff pop up at the last minute. At my LAN we were kicked out with around 11 hours to go and had to find a new location. I know how you feel.

Let's get real.

You made people pay money to fly to your event.
You made people pay for hotel accomodations.
You made people pay to enter into your event.
You made people pay to enter into a tournament at your event.

How did you do all of this? You promised things, you said you were going to pay people for competing in tournaments.

People competed in tournaments.
Players were not paid.

You know, and to put this quite frank, if you had made people pay all of that to fly to the World Series, get a hotel in the city it was sponsored in, pay to come to the event, and pay for food at the event, then told them 30 minutes before the first pitch that the World Series was cancelled and they were shit out of luck, you would have people sending you death threats.

The fact that you only have people chastising you in IRC and on message boards is child's play. Someone calling you inappopriate names or claiming that you're of a different sexual preference is nothing compared to what would happen had you done this in an area BESIDES gaming.

What you don't seem to realize is that you wasted a LOT of people's time and hard-earned money by promising something. Sure, you got away with it, of course you did. There were no contracts involved or signed, players just had to believe that you were telling the truth. Regardless of the fact that legally you did everything just fine and you cannot be attacked for anything outside of a contract, you still screwed a lot of people over.

Personally, I find it funny that all of this happened. The second cXg was announced and it was you behind it, I tried to tell everyone that it wouldn't work. To be quite frank about it, you don't have the brainpower to pull it off. Had your father have started up the project from the get-go and saw it through entirely on his own, I bet cXg would have EASILY been the best LAN event ever seen. From all I have seen and heard, your father is a genius when it comes to business and he knows how to play the game. The unfortunate thing here is that you do not.

If you knew how to, you wouldn't be focusing on petty things like wanting your "friends" back, because you stabbed your "friends" in the back. You would be focusing on ATLEAST refunding the money other people paid in getting to the event and maintaining themselves there, even if you're unable to pay them all the money you promised in tournaments.

I feel sorry that you do get all these personal attacks from people, I really do. No one deserves to be treated horribly, but you have to keep in mind that you treated people horribly in the first place. 1,000+ people didn't just automatically decide "Recon is an ass, we should all be mean to him", you gave them a reason to. If you want to be a man, then deal with the consequences of your own actions.

Whining to people who only want you to follow through with what you had them travel to Las Vegas for is irrelevant. The way to rectify this situation is to follow through on your word, or atleast reimburse people so no harm was caused.

Never had any reason to respond to a post here, but as an admin I feel a little obligated to comment.

Like Syn, I was also cut-off from the flow of information, and no apology will ever make up for the fact that they didn't comment to ANYONE on what happened. Nothing changed, no one was asked to make a news post, everyone was just killed from the flow. I have players messaging me who need the money, I personally could really use the flying expenses refund they had promised, and nothing was even mentioned after I left the premises.

Yes, Recon, it's great that you're fessing up to it being your fault. But this isn't the right way of doing it. Get us an official statement on the website, or get us some contact with whoever has the money, or #'s we can call to figure out what's going on. Yes, you were working hard before and at the event, great, so was everyone else. The problem is that when the shit went down, all of the Hill's put their tail between their legs and hid. You know what everyone would've done if cXg announced their problems publicly? Helped out, since it was in their best interest to do so. You'd have had a public announcement berating the sponsors, something they really REALLY do not want. So where was it? Why the silence? There's something about all of this that I just don't believe.

It’s 6 months overdue and only addressed to a few people CXG injured. Not only that but you distance yourself from the consequences saying the event was well organized and that unfortunately you’re no longer in a position to make things right for the people that got shafted.

Wanting your money back is ok. Everyone who attented and were promised things have the right to try to get their money. No doubt about that, and I don't think anyone would claim otherwise. When it comes to that I am all for giving the Hills and CXG as hard a time as possible. And giving them a hard time for not communicating with their customers after the event is also to be expected. I am all for demanding they take responsibility for the failures of the tournament.

But for the irrelevant harassment, it servers no real purpose. It's not like the guy is asking to be anyones best friend. Forcing him or anyone else to go underground helps no one. It is better to have them here so people can at least try to make them accountable.

Why do they specifically get the apology, they at least got to play some sort of half ass tourney. All of the RTCW players that came in didn't get to play squat but, nope.....no apology for them.

Talking about all the admins busting their asses and blah blah blah.....no they didn't. As far as RTCW was concerned, the teams busted their asses more than any admin. Who moved the tourney computers from one hotel to the other, the teams did.......who friggin installed RTCW on the tourney computers along with the paches, the teams did (Fo3twinny and Chilifiend of TB to be specific).

Someone had mentioned that most people don't win money anyway and these are mainly for vacations er something like that.....this was NO vacation. Usually on a vacation, you get to go out and see the sites...walk the strip....go to a club maybe....site seeing but, on this "vacation" all we got to do was hurry up and wait. We walked around looking for a fucking Hill family member in the hopes they could tell us what was going on.....lol, well, that was asking for too much from them obviously....Joe, Joy, or Chris did not know their asses from a hole in the ground.

I think between the LAN shitting out and us running back and forth between hotels trying to figure out what was going on...I think we played a total of 15 minutes and that was in the LAN....I say 15 minutes because after we started playing, everything started crapping out. SWEET...GG'S CXG!!!!!!

I think another reason why lots of folks are so pissed off about refunds and what not is that Joe Hill PROMISED, in front of numerous teams, that we would all be getting refunds. HE FUCKING PROMISED NUMEROUS TIMES!!!!!!!!! This is why I have so much aggression towards the Hills....because they made so many empty promises. They should have just stopped with the promising and admitted that the entire event was a cluster fuck. Seems to me that all the promising just kept digging their graves for them deeper and deeper.

Fact is everyone who went to the CXG had such an entertaining time they would not exchange it for anything.

As soon as news of looting broke out, nearly the whole community was gutted they hadn't attended and swiped themsleves a flatscreen(even if they were from Benq).

I want to know where the money has gone, without expenses money doesn't just vanish unless its stolen, if you have embezzled that money you are in serious shit son, you will be worrying more about jail than you will be about irc bs.

As a dad, and once before bitten by that fraud in the CXG qualifier in Dallas, I was extremely worried about all of the cash I put out to get my UT playing son, my wife, and myself to Vegas and back from Texas. The second we started the sign-up process (remember?), I knew that something was very wrong with CXG. It was like nobody knew anything because they were all high or something! Dressed like slobs too. Jeeze, what a mess! Then as the UT Tournament was wrapping up (administrated by non-CXG personnel), big daddy walks in making up for lack of, uh, an organ dare I say? Tried to kick out all spectators, including mom and dad - dispite the fact that we had purchased spectator passes. What a sorry bunch of people! Right sponsors didn't come thru, ever thought of paying at least some of the money owed from your own pocket? You said some sponsor didn't come thru, are u meaning to tell me all 20ish didn't? (I counted 22 sponsors gifs on the site, but with a couple of doubles). 1.7 million dollars would have been plenty if you paid all the money owed. I don't know how u do things in the states, but it's definitely not the way we do things in other parts of the world.

First of all, why are you directing your concerns only to the CS community? If I remember correctly, there were other games there and a lot of other places representing them. You say you want respect, and you say you want forgiveness...I'll tell you right now that will never happen unless some type of closure is given. And with the way things are now, the only way that will happen is with a pay out.

I don't get why you constantly say you tried so hard, and did everything possible for this event...if thats the case why were players installing games on the computers? Why was I and the other 2k3 players stuck in a small room, in another hotel with only 12 computers for 30+ people? Why was I taking 1 copy of 2k3 and installing it on every single computer, patching it, and testing each and everyone, then creating the brackets and RUNNING the tournament while being a player in it at the same time? Then after day 1, having to do it all over again in another room!?

I saw no acceptance from any CXG officials, not even a damn thank you. All I got was a big attitude, and kicked out of the main room when you were tearing down...not even a straight answer when I asked about how the payment was going to be recieved. It's bad enough no money has been seen by a single person, but to treat me and the other players there like shit is uncalled for.

You guys need to get your things together, and start sendin checks out...starting with the tournaments that finished first and work your way down the list. You will never make amends with the 'community' you say you love so much, unless that starts happening.

I dont see why the tournaments that finished should get the money first.... we all got fucked equally in the ass. While you were trying to finish the tournament, other games such as RTCW was still trying to fix cxg's problems.

As someone who had a fair amount of experience with Recon before the event (and after, as it were), I'm tempted to simply say 'I told you so' and relish in my "victory", however that event left the gaming community in defeat and this pitiable apology hardly improves the situation.

Almost as sad are some of the people on this site, typically more 'mature' and level-headed than at other eSports websites, defending him by saying his intentions were good, he tried hard and none of us could've done any better.

I'll tell you, I could've done better and so could thousands of other gamers. And it wouldn't be because we're more technically advanced or knowledgable than him, or we have better experience at running an event of this nature- it would simply be because we'd have the reasonable understanding that it would be nearly impossible for us to demolish other tournaments, no matter how much of a success the tournament would be, and we'd be wise enough to understand that we're simply not capable of running such an event alone. All he really had to do was hire people to run each part of the planning and hope that the tournament broke even in its first event. Instead, it was riddled with an under-planned network, computers, security and just about everything one can possibly think of (maybe the vending machines were running smoothly?)

With that being said and back to my previous experience with Recon, he's an idiot with little understanding of his actions or the consequences of them. From what I've pieced together from talking to him, talking to people that know him, his past experience, descriptions of his childish behavior at CxG AND Lantactics and his horribly unkempt and slobbish pictures, I've come to the conclusion that he is nothing more than a spoiled brat, who was lucky to have a rich father naive enough to put him in control of 2 million dollars. I actually believed that way before CxG, but the tournament turned out to be my proof.

This apology should be less for the gamers, and more towards the sponsors, volunteers, admins and even your father who you put in a much more difficult situation than you or most of the participants were in.

And just for the record, about his competative CS career... he's really bad at CS too. He was cut from the worst clan in CAL-p during preseason.

If this apology is genuine,(which it doesn't look like) I can't understand why it is addressed to the CS community only. Seeing as Counterstrike is the game you play, it appears that the reason for this is to try and eliminate having to change your nick on irc, being a "normal" player again and whatever else..

Why the apology months later? It should have been done as soon as the event flopped. If you really are sorry, you would still be with CXG trying to get the players money which they rightfully deserve.

All you want to do is get a good reputation back in the counterstike world. Well, maybe you should have considered the repercussions before attempting to put on such a large event with little or no experience while promising very large prize purses...let alone spending your time at the event gambling or, playing CS.

Even before CXG was around....in the days of Lan Tactics...4 friends and I saved "The Chosen Few" by providing a backbone for their network at the last minute. On top of that, then we crimped over 2,000 feet of CAT5E cabling for people for none was there to be sold.

I went...i spent about $300+ on just traveling and rooms, KNOWING that i wasnt going to win any money at all, but i still had a damn good time. And cmon....lets be realstic here, the MAJORITY of you guys cant be that mad...you guys knew you were going to lose if you played anyway....the only people that have the real argument are the ones that actually won...so please give this guy somewhat of a break.
