Dear CS Community

This is Chris "Recon" Hill formally of Lan Tactics and CXG. I have spent many years playing CS and getting to know people from around the world who play this game. As most of you know I also tried my hand at a couple lan events (Lan Tactics - Cyber X) both were very rough and had many problems. After Cyber X concluded my family and I were in terrible finacial shape. Just hosting this event alone cost my family and sponsors a little over 1.7 million dollars.

We spent just about everything we had to make this tournament work. Countless nights up till 3-4am to make sure new releases went out and people had information. Question after question answered on IRC and email. Hours and hours of travelling to different cities and states to promote CXG and run qualifiers. All for nothing.

Now most of you hate me and I relize why. Things went wrong and certain companies didn't do what they promised for us(CXG). This caused total break down of CXG. I also take into heart the amount of money and time people wasted perparing for CXG and coming to Las Vegas. It was hard on the community and hard on the players to recover from such a dissapointing lan. I personally feel that things were set up correctly and professionaly.

It took one minor thing to knock it all off track. Well this is why I am writing. I want to apologize for any part of CXG that went wrong on my part. I have been running it through my head for a little over 6 months now and I feel horrible that things didn't go as promised. I am a man at the age of 23 years old and I will take the torrment that is being handed to me from the community and I will take the threats and name calling but I assure you that no one in my family walked away from this tournament in the green. In fact it was very much the opposite. Things have been very rough for my parents and I. I have sinced moved away from them to relieve the finacial burden of taking care of another family member in the house. I have also changed my IRC name a couple times to dodge the harrassment of IRC PM's.

After a long talk with a friend very close and well known in the community I have decided to ask for the forgivness of the community. I miss so much just being a normal player and not worring about anything besides the next cal map. I want to go to LAN's and not feel like people are hating on me cause of a failure lan event. So this is where I will leave you but I will tell you this. I am a honest and good man. I worked hard for CXG and the community and it blew up in my face. Those of you that knew me in real life and have spent a couple hours hanging out or having a beer with me(BDS, Nark, Gunace, Gosu etc) you know the kind of person I am and you know that I really was doing this for the community. I loved hanging out with you guys and i hope some day I will be accepted back by the community but for now you have my at most respect and my deepest apologies. CS I am sorry. Thanks for your time
