if you are going to have rapha win one and lose one versus av3k, I think it's way more likely that rapha loses the first one.
Cause that's how he rolls.
thats true.. also being objective is hard to see rapha lose two matches in this tourney if not at the very end.. but i made this prediction based on preferences too so i want av3k and cypher to finally beat him (i think they never won vs rapha in a ql lan(2009-2010)?)

Unrealistic, av3k can't take rapha, the agressive style just doesnt work against rapha, and after a few unsuccessful rushes he'll go emo mode and the game is over. :)
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see av3k win this matchup, but aint gonna happen. ;)

I've also had the "fun" business trips, where I get up at 4 am to get my flight, return home at eleven pm, knowing I gotta get up at seven in the next morning.
I also haven't get the slightest problem with sleeping till nine.
Unfortunately, even after staying up till four or five on a Friday I'll still be awake at nine the next morning :(
If it makes you feel better, yesterday I had to fill-in for my superior and show a Russian delegation around a construction site, so I also had to sit in the meeting to "get to know them". all in all ~ 6 hours on top of the tasks I had planned for that day.

Cooller beats guard without any trouble. Guard seemed too nervous (read it as: he make silly decisions/rushes). I guess lack of lan experience+playing vs cooller takes it's own.
nope :) I came, I had 15 min to set hardware and cfg. I dont understand win 7 good, so I played with no mouse drivers, no good cfg, no 500hz mouse and bad headset (broke mine). With home conditions and 50 ms , i would beat cooller easy on hub for sure, like he played that game.
ps. vs noctis I had everything ok, but just diferent sens from xp (but everything was realy not bad, i dont whine about that )
it's not lack of experience, it's lack of good configuration pc on lan...
most players feels like in home , I had bad gfx , bad sound , no drivers and so on. but I didn't whined to admins , becose It's still fun for me to play and I don't aim to top3.
You did just fine. As for home thing... yeah, they just attend so many lans that they are used to it. Keep it going, after 1-2-3 lans you will get what you need(experience).

It might have been deliberate. Setting them at the same time means a safe pick up, then the ability to position yourself for the next fight, rather than take some risks with bad positioning to take all major items.
Cypher killed strenx and had a good stack so why should you let him back into the game? Strenx didn't have a rail so he could have peeked without any risk.
Strenx can time but due to his lowsense he lost so many rocket fights :**(
no, it was a mistake. not a delaying mistake but timing mistake. he delayed ra to exactly mh time and went to mh 10 seconds too early to "pick it up" soon to realize that his timing is off and rushed in panic to ra only to see strenx take it. nothing biggie tho. i wouldn't say his timing is shit, but it was a pretty sloppy mistake taking in consideration that he was in control.
Gotta respect rapha. Such a smart player. Who would thought he'd beat stermy on hektik after stermy hit 70% rail [10 impressives] on that map vs noctis!
Finally have a great poster boy for quake in the NA scene. Rapha really is a class act, great interviews and great humility about losing to k1llsen and all that. Really good stuff.

its a banner that pops up on the bottom and if you dont close it in a second it fill cover the whole screen and interrupt the screen until you close it
I did for the european championship finals and world championship finals of the last IEM season, I probably will again this season.
lvl^'s stream quality is still better than ESL TV's premium service and ischju is doing a good job casting the games and interviewing the players so I don't miss Joe or Carmac too much, the only thing both streams lack is some 2GD or someone else with some great insight like rapha, calipt, stermy.
Of course Joe is a better caster he's been doing this for how long? I can still remember him casting the CPL Painkiller World Tour in '05 and he's probably done some other work before that.
What I really miss though is someone who understands every part of the game from a player's POV, like his mindset, some thought processes etc. but I guess we would have to wait at least a few more years until one of the current top players would switch his mouse for a mic :/
He was good in 2009? He took opportunity a couple of times when some top players were inactive or not in shape, but I don't remember him beating any serious opponents.
yeah and noctis played first half of aero fine too, just didnt know what to do out of control and did the worst thing possible vs killsen :/ deserved more overall

I don't think that k1llsen played good. His rail was ok and his rocket lg was really weak compared to what we are used from him. His dodging and decision making was bad too. So all in all not a good performance if you ask me.

he's really good, i need to hear him cast actual games, but its looking good. His voice is clear and not annoying and talks fast . Also he has good phrases and is funny. :)
yeah was a bit disappointing ingame but he has probably never done it before and has the advantage of a nice voice and i just like the way he talks in general, doesnt annoy me

Cypher is winning games only due to his sick aim and combatskills. If cooller had hit anything with rail on t7 cypher wouldn't stand a chance vs him :x. Cooller picked up so many items but cypher just destroyed him in every combat.
His timing and position based on items isn't the best but as I said his combat skills, aim and instinct are ridiculous. I'm not saying that he is stupid but just watch the first minutes of hektik and you understand what I try to explain.

bullshit, cypher plays rock solid and does usually not play in a way that requires him to pull of something crazy (like k1llsen for example) but if he does, he is unstoppable.
like on t7, he plays a calm and calculated match and then hits 4 crazy rails from a save spot and easily converts from that. he is always looking (almost forcing) for opportunities to drop ridiculous dmg but the initiation is usually from a comfortable situation where he could as well play safe
Yeah and I never denied it that he does play the save game from a distance and engage the combat whenever he sees an opportunity or just deal a ton of dmg. I think he does a lot of his moves on instinct whereas rapha or cooller calculate every step and item on the map. You don't see that from cypher. Right know he doesn't need it. Rapha/cooller have to hit their shots vs cypher otherwise they'll lose. I think k1llsen or strenx can beat him because both can time 2+ items and have a aim which can keep up with cypher's.
I know my written english is crap and that I can't express myself properly. I never would call cypher a brainless aimwhore just that he lags some skills. Otherwise he would rape everyone like nothing.
hmm imho cypher does time just fine and as vo0 mentioned earlier, the "i dont time ra" thing is a myth. but yeah, some players delay items a lot more active. not sure if we understand the same thing from "map positioning" but i think cypher uses/gets into positional advantages more than anyone
Interesting how when cypher has the map control on hektik, he never denies the YA, and always guard the railgun instead. When rapha has map control, he always goes to YA, and cypher runs to railgun meanwhile.
he makes his strategy around his combat (weapon selection/dodging), we can't know for sure that he would be bad without his aim though. Since he doesn't have to share that burden (like cooller/rapha)
Cypher is such a badass at combat, he's like deathstroke from DC (comics), able to tag the flash without any superpowers, and kicks batmans ass all the time. Impossible shit man, just such a pleasure to watch in the complete opposite type from rapha/cooller pleasure.
Also, ZSX has good commentating but needs to lighten up a bit and be more fluid/ adlib.
ZSX + Joe would be an adequate replacement for 2gd/joe but needs a bit more humour.
i feel sorry for avek, totally dominating strenx on dm13 and then getting disorientated and falling into lava while thinking hes dropping down to the ledge :/
it's cooller. most people agree that he's the hardest player to hit. rapha said something on the lines of cooller having the best dodging among all the pros.

Is there a possibility to have a stream \ restream of tomorrow's matches on any other server than own3d? Pls do it if you can. No commentary is needed, no nothing, just a stream that can be watched.
I'm sure that there are others who can't connect to own3d servers, that randomly happens to lots of people, I've heard many such complaints before. And now it's DH, what a bad timing. 11 hours since the beginning of matches, servers still can't be reached by my network or whatever it is that has routing problems with reaching them at the moment. After 11 hours of no progress, I doubt it's going to miraculously get fixed tomorrow. =(
No you're just wrong. To say that Cooller couldn't have done anything different to have won (other than aim better) just shows your own lack of insight into the game.
